No, Jim

We were geeks....our geek dorm had a dustup with the other geek dorm...

We developed wadder balloons that could be launched over 100 yards...a sling shot using HD surgical tubing.

We used chem warfare.....instead of wadder...used a chemical that we all knew from chem class....

Esco would love this....turns a whyte boys skin blaq....

When in the next class,.......we knew our hit rate.....

wow, didn't expect so much response, now it'll have to be read, lol

and upon review DKshema has the wisest response. Strutless helis from the 70's? On that note Avant has a strutless boom feature and Goblin too, that isn't so much an issue as there has been a recently produced (2008,9) fb 450 heli, motor on top behind the mast, that sports a solo boom also.

Ya know, some poeple have no imagination, and resort to barrowing to get what they want, the issue here is not a boom, not my ideas and "ITERATIONS of what someone else developed first Blade 300 in this case, and not much else than when an "UPGRADE" company who was not invited to produce such items can get way ahead of a manufacturer who may have plans to provide their own "upgrades" in their own due time. The "Upgrade" co can subvert and divert progress and return from the original, like selling a doctored clone of a mona lisa.

No one likes to be corrected and when someone comes along and puts the heat on "WHO ASKED YOU" the knees crumble and little boys go running to moma (bitch to moderators).

If the title were "When Upgrade Companies Become Clone Artists" you might understand more clearly what the bee line really is. This I have to say to ALL the "Upgrade" companies WHO THE F ASKED YOU?

anyway, I don't find pricey upgrades very affordable so I concoct ALTERNATIVES. Ahh the politics of merchandise.

The thread is aimed toward hf and not rr at all, and a lot of kids will be going drone, er, quads, because helis are too dangerous, expensive, take too much education to repair, are hard to fly well, can't be packed in a backpack (the 300 does), and interest in helis is on a down turn as a result of some nerds pushing quads as the latest awesome aerial toy since the yoyo.

about the ox3, they made the boom squared off a bit so now you can buy only the oem parts to fix it and NOTHING ELSE, there's a hook in that. They even went so far as to call the Blade 300 stuff UNFLYABLE, if they only knew.

regarding design law, most of what you see in the world is less patent than copyright, as intellectual property unless it is a substantially unique product then it usually is an iteration or a copyright protected entity. Having the time and money to chase the world in court is a ridiculous notion, and still there are never any guarantees the Judga donna lika yu fayc.

If I produced a product and told guys not to clone it, they would clone it just to be asswholes, everyone's got one, so what aboudit, nuthin. I promised if an upgrade or clone company cloned my stuff I would clone their clone in return, izzal.

And for most, rc helis are about relaxation and fun, but when it comes to merchandise and IP, it crosses over to plain money, and money loves NO ONE.

heyo, alls well that ends well, Lynx guy Luca, do what you have to do no worries and I sincerely apologize for sounding harsh, time to move on and, little fish scatter when a big fish comes around, even late to the game. they'll give a very wide berth to a great white, trust me, I have first hand experience on this fact,

wish you all the best, enjoy the beautiful season to come remember to be pleasant to one another and we'll all live a lovely life full of friends.

Lynx, about the "CLONING" thing, it was just meant to provoke you to think in original terms, I like the Lynx stuff but can't see justifying paying more for a 300 than a 450, a 300 with brand specific one off parts, not enough of a market for excitement there, hope you continue to do well, I mean that.

peace everybody and good will to one another, bye.

So the octagonal tailboom of the Hirobo Freya was OK? Hope I never crash my Logo, I might be forced to buy side frames from Mikado. Noooooooooo!

Odd that people sell things to make money, I HATE when that happens!

Other than that, this thread suddenly came to a sudden and inexplicably abrupt end.

what would the world be like without critics, people with balls to speak their mind? What, are they going to stifle every and anyone who disagrees and or points out weaknesses in something or someone, Hey Simon Cowell,,,,,,,,,,,.

---------

simply put, it's quite possible every configuration has been exhausted, a little borrowing from one manufacturer to the next is unavoidable.

Upon review of the clone claim on hf oxy clean, I've come to the conclusion they don't resemble the newer cfx, I congratulate Blade for perfecting the servo geometry under swash triangle.

Odd, I have a Shlutter Spirit pro kit and a separate blade pair labeled 385mm, now 380 helis are popular, go figure. The kit is dated 2008 or 9, it has the perfect triangle servo to swash geometry.

To be clear my feeling of offense does not come from a boom but rather what I haven't stated anywhere, some of the fan boys of oxy300 say the original Blade 300x was not flyable, without "UPGRADES", somewhat true as the servos went south nearly instantly.

Blade had a good thing going, the 300 a perfect 24" rotor span mini heli, I've witnessed mine doing more crazy things than my 450, and I've turned it into a prototype of sorts. Not my original sizing of a mini as I'm absolutely not interested in a fragile Align 250, and luckily the 300 was very adaptable to 450 components and that gave me a concept.

Regarding the oxy design characteristics, upon further review looks like they were mimicking Goblin. As clarified, boys, no harm intended, there are no conspiracy theories here.

My design offerings would start at 300, 500, 700 and possibly 9,,,hundred (to produce this lineup would cost an initial investment of probably 900k$ large, no one drops that much on rc helis all at once without a reputation, rapport, and presence in the market for several years, merchandise is merchandise no matter what it is and/or how it's cut)

sweet dreams

I'm assisting a friend in shutting a million dollar a year sole proprietor retail biz down atm, maybe half a mill in stock to be moved, landlord could be up for a hefty civil action. I've lots of lifetime experience of several big dollar businesses going under, and politics involved, it wears you out my friends.

once more. All said and done I took the oxy thing and turned it into a motivating factor to "UPGRADE' my 300 with an original boom mod better than the one depicted earlier, with spectacular results. Low and behold it formed the basis for a mod to a Ali700 and a sample boom for it became available instantly.

we're going forward, only.
