Switching transmitters to already set up Heli?
I already have my heli's set up to dx7 and I want to switch to a new dx8. Is there a easy switch or do I have to start from scratch with a new set-up on each Heli?

As a minimum, you will have to go back and designate receiver, bind the transmitter and the do the Vbar TX calibration. The mechanical stuff will stay the same.

Make sure that you have correct channel movement direction, and I always check the collective and cyclic travel as well as the tail throw.

So I guess I'd say you need to do everything that isn't a mechanical check, but it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to verify everything is well.

as already mentioned you'll need to redo the calibration and software setup over again to the new transmitter.

your dx8 has a calibration menu. I recalibrated mine when I got it.
if you do this you will need to recalibrate / verify with v-bar as well
