Hello, what are some options out there for a Evo on electric power plants, motor mounts, as well as batteries, I was about to do a shuttle project but decided on this direction instead. This will be my first 90 size heli, I absolutely love the look of the Freya and now I will be able to build one, after all these years I still think its the best looking heli. Not looking for any crazy style flying but I'm shooting for a very relaxed smooth flying style heli that I can just get out there and enjoy, thanks for any feedback on this guys!

I converted mine using the TMRF conversion kit. Though it is pricey, the conversion is pretty straight forward - the mounting, pinion, everything just fits perfectly. I am using a Kontronik Pyro 700-45 with a Castle Ice2 120HV. The TMRF kit is designed with Kontronik motor in mind, so it is a drop in fit on to the mounting. Not too sure if other motors will fit perfectly.

For plastic EVO I will go for TMRF conversion, I have the Scorpion motor mount on my Eagle3 but the TMRF 3 metal plates conversion feels more solid on plastic frame.

I have TMRF conversion on my 50 size Evo as well and I don't use kontronic motor on 50 size, so I have modified the 3 metal plates a little bit, I can tell you the TMRF parts are very strong, too hard to enlarge the hole, but anyway, very good quality.

I am running 4025-890KV with 6S battery for sport flying, kontronic 80HV speedy.

For 3D flying, you would want 10S battery with 4025-630KV or 8S battery with 4025-740KV

Hirobo factory conversion is basically a modified 4025-740KV with 8S battery arrangement.

Kontronic 600-09 is also a good motor for running 6S BTW

Make sure you double check the pinion adaptor's size if you are going to use TMRF conversion, I have got both 5mm adaptor and 6mm ones from him, the old 4025 motors have 5mm shaft, the newer 4025 motor and kontronic motor has 6mm shaft.

BTW, the 6S setup flies good, smooth, enough power for sporty flying and F3C flying, my Evo and SDX all are running very nice and I am very very happy with this conversion

Forgot to mention : The motor and speedy information I have mentioned above are for 50 size Sceadu Evo and SDX, not for 90 size Freya Evo

For 90 size you need 12S battery, 120HV speedy and 5020-450KV ish motor, TMRF conversion for plastic Freya Evo is the best to go.

The sweet spot for EP conversion on a Freya EVO 90 is usually Kv motors that ranges between 450Kv ~ 500Kv. This power band allows for you to use the stock 95T Main gear with the 10T-12T pinion. As what was suggested the TMRF EP conversion kit is the best route to take for EP conversion.

Below is the link to their website:

http://www.tmrf-shop.de/Silent-Powe...&t=82&c=82&p=82

It's in German and in Euro currency. But it's easy to understand as the descriptions will tell you which mounts are for the Freya EVO. They do serve the international community.
