O.S. is almost ready to release the brushless motor for 700-800 class helicopters.
KV=490. The diameter of the outrunner is 58mm so that it will be good fit for 700-800 class.

This is going to be very interesting. Hopefully it will fit the new Hirobo 800 Ship.

The KV Between the two is different as well as the casing design. The F3C motor appears to have more venting than the higher KV 3D motor. As for performance I'd like to assume that the lower KV motor may be a bit smoother when it's turning but I haven't used one so it's just my opinion.

I say the same. Where does it say $129? I'll take three if it's a fact, and I won't need motors for the rest of my years.

O.S. Brushless F3C motor Ressurection
Hey Gents; i'll resurrect this thread and let you all know that the OS F3C motor/490KV is on sale @ Tower again for $150 a pop. I just ordered 3 since I missed it last time and was plenty hot about it. LOLOLOL The stock number is: LXFFYF or LW6653. If you missed it last time then catch it now. Shipping is free for the motor. Use the discount codes for an even lower price. Hope everyone gets this and doesn't miss out again.

Best regards;

Let me know what you think about the motor, I'm a slow builder and just want to verify that it has the quality that OS usually provide.

Thanks
Rob

Rob. I have 3 of them now. I've spoken with Daniel Hiatt @ the NATS regarding that motor. I've seen it in action and it's no slouch. Two things to consider though. First n fourmost is the fact that it's big. 58mm can with 62mm length, and secondly the OAL of the shaft is only 30mm. Kind of short for some ships to pass through a support bearing but it's not totally necessary to do that. I believe the shaft on the 3D motor is longer. Check Tower occasionally for sales. I got mine for $150 a pop a few months back. And yes; it is 100 percent OS Quality.

Any recent flight reviews on this motor? My Xnova is a sweet motor but it just draws too much power. I'm looking at this as a replacement.

Lou; Daniel uses that motor in his ship. I have a few but have yet to use them. Pick his brain.
