Glad the 600N isn't going away, I'm not done stocking up on parts.
I plan on buying another 3 kits for back up plus at least 2-3 more OS 55's plus rings.

I don't mind paying for fun I have with nitro

"Flame suit on"

Align is still the best bang for the buck in this hobby

spending time, paying attention

You praised both nitro and Align in one post. You're on thin ice, buddy.

I don't foresee it "dying" in any true sense of the word. If people will buy little turbines and get jet fuel from the airport, there's always going to be a contingent of nitro dudes who will keep nitro alive.

Heck, I saw a model diesel engine the other day.

Never thought I'd fly nitro again...but since I'm team Synergy I bought a N7...well I'm back into nitro and I'm loving it...I've flown many nitros in my day and none flew as well as my N7...you should take a look at this Synergy nitro helicopter.

Team Synergy, Rail blades, Team Scorpion, V-Team

Was just at ohb. If you were there, you know that nitro is not dead. Looks like interest in nitro is picking back up.

just a pendulum thing
I fly both and enjoy both..for beginners these days I steer people towards small inexpensive E-heli's; I don't think nitro is dying out..we have our fuel shipped to us here in Utah for a reasonable price; I have owned some expensive lipo batteries (you know the brand) the most cycles I have ever got on them are 129..figure it out 250.00 ÷ by 129..; Crashing a heli with an expensive batt on board as opposed to a couple dollars of fuel..gotta weigh it out; most of the top pilots today got most of their skills flyin nitro's..probably raptors; If you really compare the two sides of the coin; with all factors considered..you gotta come to the obvious conclusion..nitro's here to stay! Did people stop shootn muzzleloaders when cartridges were invented? Have people stopped shootn revolvers cause autoloaders came along? Diversity is what makes hobbies interesting!

I do a great decending funnel!

Why some people build Middle Age trebuchets.
There are hop-ups to make them hurl farther.

Hahahah...from Align 600N availability to propelling melons with trebuchets. What a great discussion...

I am glad there are some fresh nitro models available, as well as some time-tested ones. Not so bad.

As much as I love the nitro flying, I can tolerate some sparse parts and info. A novice might be better off with something which is more popular. There's less tuning expertise, and particular knowledge base for current nitro models. But a Gaui X5, Logo 550SX, Protos 500 - plenty of them out there. Any electric Align heli.

With proper adult supervision, either N or E can work for a newbie. But without proper mentorship, either can be "interesting."

Love my Nitro. I'm flying a Gaui NX4 and Gaui NX7, love them both. The NX4 is definitely more flights to the gallon but the NX7 is a Freight a Train... Builds Great, Great to Fly and its is super easy to fix after a crash since I crash a lot. Lol

Aaron29 - Mentorship is the key there. Knowing it's needed is a start.

I hear that...

You have an ESC with an in-flight data recorder....an FBL with DR and in-flight vibe telemetry....satellite RX's....

Several airborne, application specific, computer systems....

Have to have a PC interface...and the S/W that goes on the PC...

And it all has to work together...if not, it's frustrating...

Sometimes, I'm amazed it works at all...as it does...
