Yep that is what he is saying and I have experienced the same.

Ron has really has nothing to prove. No need to flame him here. He does not play the heli authority role, in fact he goes the other way. If there was a problem, call him on it. He will fix it.

Gotta love and appreciate the Hirobo Passion. . Great helis! I and we are here to help with lots of enthusiasm.

FWIW it's not only about Hirobo passion. It's about demanding responsible business practices. I'd be just as ticked at someone making a baseless assertion that Ron was closing his doors.

Back up the unsubstantiated assertion or retract it. Anything else is either an intentional lie, negligence, or recklessness.

They were in fact out when ordered, then I received them. Maybe, they were running them at the time or just finished. I'm sure it wasn't just for my order obviously. Clearly you are looking for stuff to try and pick myself or others a part. Not playing your game. I've stated what I know are facts and I'm done.

Ron Lund is as straight a shooter as they come. Known him almost 20 years. I'm sure he has a good reason for what he puts on his site. He knows more about the business than everyone on this thread combined. He is highly respected in the industry.

Get the facts from him instead of relying on speculation and conjecture.

What did he say when you asked him about it?

Don't feel bad. I recently had an rr member think I created a 2nd username to sell a turbine.

The part he missed was that user joined rr 2 years ago and had well over 2000 posts. Clearly not a 2nd user name. Facts first, mouth second... And of course, at the end of the day, does it really even matter anyway. It only has the importance that you give it.

No importance? Then it's meaningless. And, it's meaningless. Unless this is all you got going on.

You won't find many people that think Ron Lund owes anyone an explanation about anything.

If it becomes a problem, I'll talk to Ron, I have known him for probably over 20 years or close to it as well and been in this biz since 1990. Can we just move on and let this go. We are just going round and round here. Great advertising for him. LOL

Ron has never shot crooked with me, ever. All this stuff is new. Give it some time.

If it becomes a problem, I'll talk to Ron,
I submit that it already is a problem. There has to be a finite amount of lost business for RC Japan and VRC on account of the banner. Fact is, these guys are right in that Ron Lund IS a big name in RC. Which is what makes that banner all the more damaging to anyone doing Hirobo related business.

I'm surprised your take on it is as light hearted as it is.

Jeff is right here. At the time Ron put that info on the website, Ron was of course getting his inventory from MRC, and they were tied up in a most unfortunate tug of war over the long term presence of Hirobo in the US. There is no telling which story he heard at a given time. I would pretty much guarantee that if Jeff called Ron and told him his best understanding of the current situation, then an edit would likely take place. Right now on Ron's list of priorities in running his business, other than having remaining parts discounted further, I would wager that worrying about a year+ old post in darn low on his list of concerns. Those who choose to demonize Ron over this have a short memory for the YEARS that Ron's store was one of the single best sources for Hirobo kits and parts. He tirelessly promoted the line. If the man currently responsible for trying to do something with Hirobo in the US has better things to worry and talk about than this, then I would submit that there is a message to be received from this fact. Let it go and move on.

Hirobo helis at funflys are rarer than hens teeth and have been for years. It's not Ron's job to put Hirobo back on the map. It's hirobo's job to do that.

Nah. Not a big issue. It's just cold, dark, can't fly until tomorrow and online ranting is more entertaining than TV. If anyone should be concerned about the banner, it should be both Ron and Jeff. Both are losing some business over it.

Before flogging Ron Lund, concrete facts would be prudent.
Quoting from Ron's website does not equal "flogging". There was/is no intent to flog here. I've never heard a bad thing about Ron. I'm sure he's great. I think what his website says about Hirobo is wrong and that's why I brought it up.

The date stamp on the warranty registration postcard for my Shuttle is "8 29 14". I would post a picture of it but I already sent it back to Hirobo for warranty registration because they offered a "special prize" for it's return and I want to see if they'll actually ship me something free all the way to Texas.

I believe that this date stamp would be the date of manufacture. My little heli is a newer (but not the newest) version of their oldest heli still (I believe) in production. If they're still making revisions to the Shuttle, and making new kits, it's probably safe to say they're still making the other kits as well. I generally don't like to make assumptions but I know Hirobo is not surviving on the Shuttle, they're probably making and selling other models and are still making the Shuttle because it's relatively easy to keep making the kits/parts they've already made for decades.
