Budget tail servo from Hitec?
I'm setting up a Hirobo Shuttle with a Futabe GY430 gyro. I don't want to go overboard as I'm just getting back into R/C helicopters. I don't know how important a high performance servo is for a beginner type helicopter.

I need to buy a tail rotor servo, was planning to use all Hitec stuff.

Would the HS-625MG, or HS-5625MG work as a tail servo ?

Both seem pretty similar. If a gyro specific servo is an absolute must, I guess I'd get the HSG-8315BH

You are talking my language here, but instead, I would recommend this one.

Hitec: HS-7966HB

compare:
Hitec: HS-5625MG
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...?&I=LXUZ76&P=ML

Much better speed for $5.00 more.....and yes, I use these for tail servos.
Check my profile.

You always run your best/fastest servos on the tail. By being able to respond quickly, less motion occurs.

The cyclic servos should all be matched for best performance.

I bought HS-5485HB servos for the other 4 servos. I hope that is a good choice. I wasn't sure what to do for a throttle servo so I figured I would keep them all the same.
