Maiden flight sat ??
I hope to fly this beast sat sometime !!
I bought it on RR .... . I set it up for LHS it has 800 align blades ,10s with a 450 motor, 9 tooth drive for the tail rotor , 120 hv 2 esc ,
tags 01 fbl , dx 9 radio , spectrum servos . Shooting for 1100 LHS to 1600 in stunt 2 . Useing throttle curv now. I hope to move to gov when I figure it out !! 😳
I went through the whole thing just to see the quality of it .
It is a solid machine !! Had it ready to go last weekend ( I thought !!!! )
Didn't know I needed a receiver bat ! Lol got it Friday now she's ready,
I have been flying a jr 550 , the MD800 is a beast compaired to it !
The picture doesn't do the colors justice . The yellow pops !!
I hope to post good news. !

25 mph wind but it was great !!
Seems to handle well. Need to do some dialing in with the tail but the tags 01 felt great on cyclic ! Only did the low rpm today. Slow small circuts I will check it all over again and hope to do some big air Sunday !!

Congrats Cobra! What head speed did you run? It is amazing to me the head speeds many run to do the same thing a lower headspeed can do. Congrats again!Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

Governor
Just set rpm numbers in Castle program and fly. You can get a hobbywing phase sensor for $3.99 and use your fbl governor. It will be reactive to pitch inputs.

Oh wow lol. I remember those days. When I was stationed at Minot, I spent many days flying in 15 degree weather. Well I hope you get to fly soon.

Have fun and stay warm!

It's a frigid 38 degrees here in Texas.
That's the rough equivalent of Hell freezing over.
May fly something later.
