Nano CPX board
I've seen on here somewhere that some one can repair the board for the Nano and Micro cpx's Something to do retining or something. I cant remember, but I do recall the post having something to do with binding issues after a few crashes and something on the board comes loose and people talking of sending the board to someone and he can make it better than it was from factory. Somebody help me out here. I'm not insane, I know I read it somewhere but cant find it. Thanks and Merry Christmas

yes there is a 12mhz crystal that becomes cracked or damaged after even minor crashes.

It is located towards the middle bottom i believe, i had to repair mine when i had my nano mcpx.

Ok Altima I've located the crystal. You said you had to repair yours. So how do I do it?What was wrong with it and how did you know that was the problem?

I think mine was cracked, so I just soldered over the crystal.

Are you having a problem where it won't bind?

Can you wiggle or see damage to the crystal?

Remember anything you do to the board will void the warranty so maybe try and get a replacement first?

Can you try to bind the heli and try and hold down or wiggle the crystal to see if it will bind?

I will look for the instructions I used to work on mine.

Yeah ill give the bind a try whilst holding the crystal down. It doesnt move obviously however that doesnt mean that one leg of the solder point isnt cracked. Ill give it a try later and post back my results. Thanks altima and Merry Cristmas

You can always re-tin the the solder joints and see if that solves the problem.

I've sent two boards (to the previously mentioned service) and both came back as good as new.
