Electronics for 7.5KG scale model 1002/21 mechanics
Just purchased my first Vario mechanics 1002/21, 3 blade head, the G240 gasser and SW300C scale. I've been away from the hobby for about three years and seem to have lost some of my previous knowledge... Now I am wondering what sort of electronics to install; servos, gyro (GY701--GY750?) and ignition cut off device etc. I'd prefer to stick to Futaba. What would be good value items?

Appreciate recommendations, thanks.
Robbe Nova Cuatro Gas/Nitro, Futura Nova Nitro, Futura SS Nitro, Vario Scale S300C/1002/21 Gas.

Check out the BLS servos from Futaba. Anything over 190oz of torque will do it.
The GY 750 works great as well.
Others will chime in i am sure.

Joe,

Thx. Is it not overkill with the GY750 with the 3 blade config or?

Thanks for your reply - copied the BLS & 190oz for the servo load.

No the CGY-750 is not over kill and the BLS servos are a very good choice, I have been using this setup for many years. The governor in the CGY-750 works good with the gasser motor just setup a differential throttle linkage.

Ok, cool. Noted the "differential throttle linkage" setup advise - thank you.
So the deal is the CGY750 and 4 x 275SV cycle, 276SV tail, and 272SV throttle. I guess nobody ever said that scale heli's would be cheap to set up..
Would you guys use a regulator with these HV servos or just run them straight off the Rx?

Cheers,
C.

Thanks for the very quick replies and helping in getting my mind back into it the "game". So no regulator needed - cool - the less equipment the less that can break.

Cheers,
C.
