you know I love the high point balancer.

BUT

I wish they would make the wheels out of some sort of hardened steel instead of soft aluminum.

If you happen to slide the rod while its supporting a heavier object like a clutch or mainshaft w/rotor head, the rod will dent/grind a tiny nick on the outter rim of the wheels. So know when you try to balace a lighter item like a aluminum fan or a prop, the rod will encounter that nick and stop, screwing up the balancing process...

they do make a nice magneticly suspended balancer but its limited to how much weight you can mount to it.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

I can hang as much weight - till I question the risk to the balancer ? How do you damage the Collett

You get a Nick or a dent ? How do you do That ?? Using a hammer ?

I'd like to know what's he cookin in the Micro Wave and what's the spray on Flavor ??

What Grey has is the old version I believe with the bigger wheels. It is at least on paper better because of this with theoretically less friction than the newer models. I own the newer model and say it is rather flimsy but is all we got.

Raptornoob nice video but I would not trust any balance with the set up you videoed , In my opinion there is way too much friction to determine anything but the extremely obvious .Why not put the assembly between two identical glasses that you drink from?

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

If it will balance a wooden prop weighing in the gram's -splitting the difference from one blade to the other it will balance anything above even the lightest weight.
but I would not trust any balance with the set up you videoed , In my opinion there is way too much friction to determine anything but the extremely obvious .Why not put the assembly between two identical glasses that you drink from?
It's not the contact surface friction of the rolling element's of the wheel's or their surface but actually the geometry in the assembly.
The bearing or jewel offset geometry.

Used in Industry to even balance tonnage . You can spin stuff with your pinky/

Re : If you don't know /Don't implant what you don't know with bad advice - or a un knowledgeable opinion - that is false for vanity .

Back to the Build ! That's a BIG High Point !

ok my idea of fuel system for little gasser
both raptor and my chaos, i will be trying this type of fuel setup, caz truth ive seen it both ways, exhaust pumped, or just straight out vented, and becaz of the scaries,,,,thinking that i will get a back fire and blow the heli up, i put filters in the line of fire to act as a spark arrestor, hey if it happens it happens.......LOL

? Are you venting the muffler pressure ?? Don't think that will work if your gonna vent then no pressure is required just vent tank so it doesn't imploded. If your pressuring then skip the vent which I would add a one way to only let air in.

Like your thread. Thank you. !!
But just get a high point or such! It spins free and easy much much more than what you are trying to do !! They are amazing . You haven't cut any building corners yet. And I wouldn't start here . Your Heli will thank you !!
Keep up the great work.

well
just trying something, gaui first tested there t-10 engine gasser with pressure, and i have seen others go engines and rotorstars, and then seen just plain old vents, whats funny is those little gas engines have no pumps on carbs like bigger like 231 gassers and up, or even like the os gt gasser, so it makes you wonder how gas gets to carb, so, i thoght,,,,,get a little from exhaust, and vent from outside air, with a straight run out from muffler right out......so it should not build up pressure, but realease if there is to much, there is a youtube video that the guy held the trex 600 upside down while engine running,,,,,and well it started to stall,,,,,, so the go-engine does need some type of pressure,,,,but i understand from factory manual, that to much is bad.......but its just a trial, i can always removr, but thanks to all for tips.....thats what we are here for...... right

If the carb is designed properly the vacuum in the venturi draws fuel out of the jets ... so as long as the tank is close enough and properly placed it wil draw fuel naturally while running.

Many current glow (nitro) two strokes - heli or plank - dont work well without pressure because the carburetor bores are made very large to flow a lot of air and maximize power; so they dont create enough vacuum to draw fuel at full throttle without pressure. But in the old days people used to run model engines with open vents all the times... go look at some old timer engines and you will see the carburetors are tiny vs. what we have today.

Wonderful Build documentary !

Might not have to use pressure at all - if necessary fall back on the Old School remote shaker pump driven by vibration - then a excess by pass flow line to the tank. Just got to be fuel compatible.

some one help...im an addict..............
so a few days ago, got a deal on a t10 gaui engine, it had spun a rod, and i just wanted to take a break from the build and wanted to shout out to the non belivers that all 3 of these engines, the GO, and the rotorstar, and the T10 are the same motors, and the only different is the crank on rotorstar, its not threaded all the way, but otherwise same parts......you can mix and match, and you find a deal on parts just rebuild

chaos build day........NOT TO F%$kin Happy :(
had a little time today and i figured play with chaos build, so another bad news
1. had no gyro but a govenor........so traded for a gyro
2. now the nice canopy is wrong, must be a 600E canopy, caz it will no way fit this bird

and the real bad news, i emailed rc aerodnye on gyro with no answer, so i quess i already know the answer i will get for canopy
