Cruzroy we were all newbie's at one time. I keep up with your status & enjoy the video's you make. Just keep it up & the flying will get better in time. When i first started i was always tearing up tail blades & TT gears. I was getting frustrated. So i bought a Trex 450 electirc & learned to fly that little sucker on my own. Then progressed up to my Trex 600 and beyond, i'm not a 3D flyer just enjoy sport flying. Anyways keep up the good work & enjoy the holidays..

wow big mess up here on motors
even though the T-10, GO, and the ROTORSTAR are the same motor, the only one that has a different crank is the ROTORSTAR,, so i will attemp to RE_DIE the threads, and add about 1/4 inch of 1/4 - 28 threads.......and hope i dont snap off.......it sucks, but its all i can do at this time.......so buyers beware, the rotorstar is designed as a multi fuel engine, but it will be a challenge.......or end of this build.........CROSS YOUR FINGERS.......an machine shop could do........but that cost money......LOL

I did a similar thing with a YS53 4C for a custom heli installation and succeeded. YMMV. Go slow and use copious amounts of cutting fluid.

RotorStar 56 engine problems and tips

Watch at YouTube

this info was sent to me from a forum member, i would like any and all remarks or questions, see what every one thinks.....thanks

Go engine 56 size Heli gasoline engine instructions manual

Thank you for purchasing Go Engine 56 size Heli gasoline engine. Kindly read the following before start operate the engine.

1. First of all, make sure your using gasoline resistant fuel tube, fuel tan and “O” ring. Note: 2.5mm diameter hole Fuel tank and manifold nozzle are required to let the fuel and back pressure are enough. We suggested using anti bubbles fuel pick up inside the tank to reduce creation bubbles in the fuel line.
2. CDI and spark plus must be fully tighten to avoid any loosen & vibration. Vibration may cause frequency interference to the receiver. Extra hooking between CDI and spark plug are high recommended.
3. 98 octane gasoline and high quality 2 strokes lubrication oil are required for theis engine to gain higher performance. During break in period, mixture ratio can be 4:1 scale. Require 2 to 3 tanks break in duration. After break in, final mixture ratio will be 5:1.
4. Battery supply for CDI suggested is 2S 7.4V 2200mah. Make sure battery voltage is maintained above 7.7V. Not recommend to run the engine with below 7.7V.
5. Always let the manifold on the clean condition after use. Dirty manifold may create high heat for the next run.
6. Highly recommended to install fan beside the engine or heat sink. This will reduce the heat down to 10 degree Celsius. Normal working temperature without fan is around 120~130 degree Celsius.
7. Strongly recommend to use GO Engine manifold this is due to matching power band. As for 3D flyer, it is also highly recommended installing the Governor to avoid over RPM and cause over heating.

Start the engine

1. Before on power (CDI) fully open the throttle, block the manifold outlet and then spin the prop 2 to 3 turns to let the fuel go into the carburetor. Then on the power (CDI) and spin the prop to start the engine.
2. During break in time (Oil mixture ratio 4:1), HSN set at retreat 1 turn from the bottom. Don’t bother LSN at first. After the engine started, some fine tuning for the LSN maybe be required. It’s depending on the engine run condition.
3. For fine tune engine, the HSN is set approx. at ¾ turn from the bottom. If the engine lack of top end, retreat the HSN and 2 hours/10min.( the needle maybe sensitive, we suggest tune it by hourly ).
4. Strongly suggest to stop the engine by pinching the fuel line to stop the fuel continue go into the carburetor and this will help for the better fire up for the next run.
5. Trouble to start the engine, unplug the CDI and spin the prop and make sure the CDI inside coin is sparkling.
6. Note : Not recommended to use over night(last fly fuel). Make sure to empty the
tank for each fly.

I Have been working with the factory to help get these gasoline engines out into the public market as fast as possible. Gasoline engines cost less money to operate compared to a nitro engine. Another plus is that you can get gas at a lot of local stores no matter where you are at. No need to track down a hobby shop or pay a lot of shipping costs to get some fuel so you can fly or drive.
They have come up with manuals from the factory but I have been testing these motors out and coming out with manual updates that I have found as I continue to test and use these engines.
Read The Stock Manual First And Then Read The Updates I Have Done Here.
Right Now These Updates Are For the Helicopter And Airplane Engines.
As Soon As I Am Done Testing The Car/Truck Engines I will Post There Updates
After you have broke-in the engine there are 2 ways to run this motor. You can run it nice and easy or you can pinch every oz of power at out it.
For normal day to day use you don’t need a cdi battery that stays above 7.7 volts all of the time just hook up a 2cell lipo and it will run great.
You can use 87 octane gas and to can run it off pumped gas eith 10% ethanol blend but you will have to run it really rich and you will lose some power. For best results use gas use 91 octane as a minimum. Use ethanol free gasoline which you can get at any store that sales lawnmowers or outdoor gasoline tools (local or big box store) or any dirt bike shop. They will all have ethanol free gas you can buy. For the best gas and more selections of octane ask anyone that works at a high performance dirt bike shop or car shop and they will be able to give you the name of a local high performance oil and gas shop. If you only have a shop that selling outdoor toys with gasoline engines like dirt bikes, 4whellers, side by sides, snowmobiles, ect. They will either have a nice selection of high octane gas or they will be able to order it.
For the cdi sensor take off the fan and hub and make sure that the middle of the CDI senor is right on top of the hub set pin on the main shaft when it is at top dead sensor . You will be able to feel and see threw the exhaust port when you are at TDC. Turn the crank shaft very slowly a few times and when you look through the exhaust you will see when the piston stops moving up and down and that is TDC. This will set you up a TDC and the cdi has an auto advance so you mount the senor making sure that the hub pin is in the center of the cdi sensor and you are ready to go.
For oil i have always like klotz brand oil ( Any local dirt bike shop will have it) and buy theKlotz brand benol castor oil and there super techniplate oil which is a blend of 20% castor and 80% synthetic oils. There are a lot of good 2 stroke oils and most of them are a synthetic blend. There are some posts online about which oil people have used and like. On line is the best way to find the cheapest oil that will run good in your engine.

We suggest to use 98 octane gas as it is powerful but the temperature will be higher. You can also use 92~95 octane gas but the power will be down along with the lower temperature. We also recommend to change the nozzle to 2.5mm on the pipe & fuel tank.
For the oil ratio, please refer the below:

.56 gasoline heli. engine gasoline:castor oil (or 2T engine oil) 4:1(break-in) 5:1(normal version)
.56 gasoline airplane engine gasoline:castor oil (or 2T engine oil) 4:1(break-in) 5:1(normal version)
.28 gasoline car engine gasoline:castor oil (or 2T engine oil) 20:1(break-in) 20:1(normal version)

The reason you don't see many of these motors except in the China sales is heat. You can't just replace a glow engine with a small gas engine in a heli and think it will work. Changing from glow to the low cost gas engines generally still over heats and locks up.

Sorry guy but this idea will vapor lock in under a couple minutes and then score the piston shortly after. It's the nature of gas which is why you want a large cly head and lower compression with more cc. In a heli you will also find with gas you want a flywheel to help with vibrations caused by the ignition on the gas engine.

i thank you for yours and everyone opinion
but i will continue with the project, and if the motor pops thats fine, it is just a project to try and you never know till you try, and yes i see them flying the gaui t-10 just like a nitro, but i also see some that have spun a rod , but if there's a will there's a way, but thats what this post is all about, seeing if it works or not, and i hope all can hang in there till i fire her up.......and we will see what happens...

here is a gaui with T-10 gasser and its broke rod

but there is a million of these nitro engines on this forum that also have snapped rods........so i dont get it, so why not try

Don't worry about what others say about your efforts, try your ideas and learn from them. Not all will be successful (I know this based on the years of playing around with things), but some ideas will and sharing what you have learned is what helps push this hobby forward.

There are several experiments That I have done with my gassers, some did not give any gains or failed with time (like the Ti crank and Ti main shaft), others were successful (frame, pinion block, stroker etc) and still others seem to have made no difference (the spring dampened hub).

Besides, even if you do fail, maybe someone will read thru this and try something slightly different and may be successful... Or you could be successful and someone else could further refine it. Who knows, but experimentation is another aspect that makes this hobby fun.

So do what makes you happy and share with others, thats the whole point after all.
showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...
