A new feathering shaft isn't an absolute requirement.

There is no need to guess if the parts include certain components or not.

http://www.alignrcusa.com has the full listing of current Align part numbers, and the descriptions contain a list of parts included.

Thrust bearings are NOT included with the V2 pro grips, but the radial bearings ARE included.

I would like to get the red bling head but I am told from the dealer the top of the fl head will not fit, even if I use the correct main shaft that fits the third bearing,as this head was made for electric version
More mis-information.

I converted my nitro a couple of weeks ago without any problems and using main shaft HN6118. I also fitted the rubber dampers in place of the DFC rock hard ones.

I find it much easier to set up with the collar instead of playing with shims that may be a little loose or even a little tight but quite hard to know if it is exactly right.

I fitted a new engine and on the first flight with a 1700 head speed the model was stable. When I first built the model with the DFC head and solid dampers I had to run 1850 or else the model had a wobble.

Try the H55055T red 60 durometer dampers. You can run low head speed (for a 600). Stable at 1400~1500. The advantage of the new/old head is that you can run dampers. Won't bobble in auto's.

you either need 600 Main Shaft H60159
http://www.alignrccdn.com/index.php...main-shaft.html

for the LE version or prior

OR
600N DFC Main Shaft Set H6NH002XX
http://www.alignrccdn.com/index.php...x-on-order.html

ahh the H60159 is going to be replaced with one that has a collar built in. that's why you can't find yours yet

Were you getting this info from,I was told by other users to get main shaft HN6118,it must be that one to reach the 3rd bearing,Align UK say they dont get them any more, try H55006,the dealer was wrong before and said HN6118 would not work, others on the topic have done it and it works,so which is it,I think this head was designed for electric only, thats why they are not sure.

I'm staring at my machine it uses this 600 Main Shaft H60159 201 mm the HN6118 is 191 mm not the same. this version H55006 is 177 mm

mine is the LE version and I am using the 600 E head with the separate swash follower and I am using a century swash follower instead of the align and my control links are 72mm titanium TB's .
pics are in my gallery of it flying

The correct main shaft on the 600N using the latest Align FL head is the HN6118. There is no debate.

H55006 is for the 550, and the locking ring on the shaft causes it to bottom out on the top bearing block before the shaft is fully through the middle bearing block on the 600N. You will not be able to get the lower jesus bolt to be even close to lining up.

H60159 is the original flybar main shaft. This is too long to use with the new FL head, the links would be too short to reach the blade grips. It MAY be possible to use this shaft if you swap the links out for longer ones, but the links will have far too few threads into the rods if you use the stock ones, if you can make them reach at all.

There is one other possibility that I have not had the chance to check, and that is the new 550 FL shaft:

http://www.alignrcusa.com/index.php...roducts_id=3115

It is very similar in length to the 600N FL main shaft, although eyeballing the pictures, it would not fully engage the lower bearing (Not really an issue).

Unfortunately, we need to know more than just the overall length to see if it's suitable for the 600N since it incorporates the locking ring.

Alternative to HN6118?
It looks like the HN6118 main shaft has been discontinued. Have people managed to fit the new FL head to a 600N without this main shaft?
