This is the sort of thing that makes me want a machine shop.

Once in a while, I'll get all into the idea and start perusing the sites, one of my favorites below:

http://www.mini-lathe.com/

I'll peruse with fantasies of making my own designs.

Then I wake up and realize, "Ain't nobody got time for dat!" (or money!) Heh. It's cool but going to have to wait until work, life, etc. are a lot slower than now.

Mad props to that guy for his heli.

Nice effort! I converted Ryobi's back in the day for airplanes and was very happy with them as well until the purpose built engines started coming out much lighter and with much more power. A scratch built heli around a weed wacker engine, very cool!

Maybe make one that has a generator and charges a lipo. A flying charging station. LOL might as well fly your charging station around.

back a while I had my hands on that same Central Machinery Lathe, it's a cute little thing, but it came with .030" of back lash in it's Feed Screws, so I sent it back,

a "ShurLine" Lathe would be better than that Central Machinery lathe, but after owning a ShurLine Mill for 24 years I can say you should not over work them, RM3 has a ShurLine Lathe that he can Mill or Turn with, he does some good work with it

I bought a Jett 9x20,, my Jett was made in Taiwan, but today they are made in China..
