I was wondering if anyone on here has used the heli option dfc turnbuckles. ... I'm thinking if putting them on my 450 and possibly 700 but I would like some feedback first. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have heli option stuff for my 550.

Main gear, frame stiffeners, anti rotation hinge, canopy clip. Check my photos. I have looked at and drooled over the swash and arms.

It is top quality gear. You would have no problems with the DFC arms or the drive links.

I have them on my TRex 450. Good quality and have stood up well. Had tried a few turnbuckles on the 450 a while back, but they typically were not sized right an poor in their quality. But the Option stuff was nice an all worked well.

Note, the Turnbuckels I have are from the servos to the swash as it is a DFC head. Don't know if they make ones from the swash to the head now, an if they do, have not used those.

They do make turnbuckles that go from the head to the swash. I recently used to servo to swash links for programming and they seemed to worm we now I'm just waiting for the rest of the parts to complete the programming.

Huh

Well what do you know:
http://www.helioption.com/store/ind...products_id=187

Is funny as they have this listed under the Dominator and straight 450 sections, but not the Pro or Sport.

Probably nothing to matter.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up, learned something new today.

Add: Looks like they have them for all the other bigger Align helos too. A+

I have them on my Dominator and love them. Makes tracking adjustments real quick and easy.

yeah they look cool and like they would make fine adjustments easy... but one thing I am concerned with is the turnbuckle end that goes into the DFC arm needs to be all the way in.. I noticed play with this mistake on my 600 nitro and ended up having to replace the dfc arms.. I guess I am wondering is it possible to make adjustments with the end that goes into the dfc arm not loosen? If I am not explaining all of this correctly please let me know..

I think I understand what you're saying.

On the plastic link side, the fit will always be snug just about no matter where it is threaded, but since the other side is just a screw into a female metal fit, without it being all the way in, what makes that fit tight?

Almost would think you would need to put a small nut on that so that after you make your adjustment, you could lock that down.

If this is your thought, is a good point to wonder about an hopefully if someone has one of these, they can chime in a say.

If not, I might suggest shooting the company an e-mail an ask if there is any info they could give you in regards to your concern.

Again, seems like a very good point to wonder about, but considering the company, one might think they have done something, but I would ask how too before you buy.
