I am looking to get a 14sg. Can settings easily be transferred from the 7c to the 14sg? I know i need to go thru each screen, but once i do that, will the helis be set up the same as they were? I have 6 helis set up in the 7c and i don't want to have to set each one up in the field.

Hey mustang67ford

I could be wrong, but having both, I don't think there is going to be anyway its not going to be labor intensive as you have said.

But in the short answer, yes, your helos will be setup the same.

But to explain a bit more, basically all the settings the 7C has, the 14 has as well, but there are for one, often more options or settings for the same stuff you have, an two a few things I might say would be the same, but just gotten too in different ways.

For example, as I mentioned the alarms, that is gotten too via a dif menu, an for each you have a lot more options and screens. So its kinda stuff like that.

But as best as I can recall, nothing is missing an nothing will be lost by going with the 14, other then maybe as I mentioned in the other post, about the only thing is that the timer alarm is not as loud.

Don't know if it would be a big help, but I created a Excel spread sheet to record all my Radios settings. Naturally its a thing where you have to put everything in by hand, but its basically setup as you would go along, an could be of some help as at least this way, your not having to go through menu after menu. An as well is a nice way to keep info backed up in case of a complete failure of everything. Or can come in handy if you make some adjustments to stuff some day, but then forget where it was before.

All in all its setup mostly for the 8FG, but I think would serve well for the 7 as well.

If you like, you can PM your e-mail an I would happy to send it to you and help with any questions on it an any other help I could give with the transition.

I don't think it can be done because 7C uses a CamPack whereas the 14sg uses a SD card.

What you can do is place them side by side and copy the settings of your 7C manually to your 14sg.

If you are super OCD, you can use a servo tester that is capable of pulse measurement.

You would record the PPM values for endpoints/centers of every channel output through the Rx when commanded by the 7C, and then take those values and match the endpoints/centers of every channel output through the Rx when commanded by the 14SG. Things like curves and expo should transfer verbatim, provided that you do the above.

There is no way to transfer settings from a Futaba 7C to a 14SG via any kind of wire or chip. It must be done manually.
