Hmmmm. Not one for rumors but i'm assuming the Black Widow from RC Aerodyne is still available. However, Should I consider getting something else for my scale multi blade ships?

Copied from a post on another forum.

This is from Scott, the owner of Robird USA:

"An Update on the Status of Robird:

I want to thank everyone for their patience throughout these past few weeks and I know there is a level of frustration that I want to address.

As I mentioned in a previous posting, the owner of Robird has decided to move on to other professional pursuits. Originally he had told Johnny (Phantom GT) and I there was plenty of materials available to make about 800 additional Robird G31s. We also spoke to him about taking over Robird ourselves and he initially agreed. Johnny and I started to discuss a plan to get the Robirds into the market and how to start up a new Robird venture.

While we were doing this the owner stopped responding to all of our attempts to talk with him. Emails, phone calls and QQ messages went unanswered and as of today we still haven't heard from him. We tried many, many times to contact him and his business partner to no avail. Both Johnny and I invested a lot of time and energy making Robird what it was and we were both extremely frustrated and disappointed by how we were treated.

Because we weren't getting any responses to our many communications I pulled the RobirdUSA website down. I didn't want to give the false impression that I would be selling Robirds when I didn't know that would be possible anymore.

Additionally, as some of you have noticed, the Robird.net website where you would download the Robird setup software has been pulled down. This was a new development and was not announced to Johnny or I (neither of us maintain that website).

Johnny has a plan though - He is working with someone to provide a software solution which he then he will make available. Please come back here from time to time and when he's done I'm sure he'll immediately post it.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused but please understand that not all business ventures last forever. We will continue to answer your technical questions on the HeliFreak forum.

For those who need it, the Robird Website is back up:

http://www.robird.net/G31/

This will allow those with Robird units to access the computer software and instruction manual.

I am not reading anything into this in terms of the future of Robird, but am posting it here to help existing customers out.

Thank you.
