Wow, I just watched the video of DJI's newest creation, the Inspire1 . Glad I didn't spend my money on the S1000!

Can't believe no comments on this. The Inspire 1 is an all inclusive plug and play FPV device that will drastically change the FPV and multi-rotor game. So simple a caveman can do it. All those trying to make a living with the specialty skills of flying a multi-rotor with a camera attached just got punked by DJI. No real skills needed with the Inspire 1.

The kid in me loves the new inspire. I got dji emails on it and saw the video when it was first released. However, at $3k it's out of my range.

I'm going to wait to see what the FAA rules for FPV and commercial use of RC are before I spend $3K for the Inspire 1.

hmm
The S1000 is pretty good. I put one together with a friend 2 months ago and had a pretty high regard to it. Its all in what you plan to do with it. A 3/4" Sensor and larger will crush a go pro ish camera. If you are getting good light the go pro type can do well in video. So its dependant on what we are doing and how.

I do like the Caveman mentality DJI has done. I think that remains one of the more positive parts to the company. You have support, and its made to be more or less plug and play. Like any new product finding out about known bugs is critical before I would ever purchase something like that.
