Is the CC Edge 120HV ok for G700 or I have to have at least 160HV?

As with anything, it's going to depend on the rest of your setup and your flying style.

It is capable of being flown with a 120, but it would have to have a fairly tame motor and be flown a lot more conservatively than you typically see a G700 flown. Kinda like putting a V6 in a Vet.

I don't fly my 700 all that wild, but I still went with a 160 just to be on the safe side.

Rcflyer pretty much said it w. flying style and setup, and I know this may
not be what you are asking for since mine is a Jive 120.

But at 90 flights now, absolutely no issues, but again, this is with mostly
LHS flights and your normal aeros, no slamming, banging abuse.

Hey TCP, I plan on running the same combo as you with the 160 and V-bar. I never ran V-bar before, but I hear the gov works really good with the electrics. Glad to hear you like it.

Same setup also, but with the Vbar Control. Real time data back to the TX is great.

Unless you fly at pro level 3D or do speed runs, the 120 will be fine. I use the CC 160. The highest amperage I've seen in the log is just over 130A. That was caused by high speed passes. There will be spikes or transients that exceed that and don't get logged, but an ESC is made to handle its rating continuously with some air flow over it, typically 5 mph minimum.
