Hey guys I just upgraded my 600mx to a 700mx 510kv. I still have the trex 600 pro stock castle ice hv80 speed control. I got it all put together today and plugged it in, only 6 beeps????? Could you guys point me in the right direction here for my governor setup and why in the world am I only getting a 6 beep startup on a Heli that is 12s???? And I do have two 6s batteries plugged into the speed control which worked fine before the upgrade. I would appreciate any advice.

Check that one of your battery/Y lead connections hasn't come unsoldered?

As for governor you'll just have to tell it the new motor KV, pole count will be the same.

60% of the time, it works every time!

Okay the funny thing is that I just use a jumper wire from the - to + wire on my speed control and it doesn't matter which side I plug in first, they both will arm the system only with 6 beeps? I'm a Lil rusty here I haven't flown all summer I gotta be missing something real simple but I can't think of what it is

Could be the way you have it wired.

Does it have a spark arrestor? (resistor)

Did it count the 12S before?

FWIW...motor has nothing to do with it.

Check batt with a volt meter to the connector going into ESC and confirm you are getting around 50V.

If so, and its still counting 6S, revisit your voltage cut off settings.

Yea it worked great for a year now. Everything is stock setup except for the bec pro which has been on the Heli since day one, this issue has just started since I put the new 700mx in

Is the esc set on auto detect for number of cells? Have you tried running it to see what happens?

Yea it's on auto lipo. I have spooled it up without the blades on but the CC tech said it will likely fry my battery's if it's not detecting the correct amount of cells. I think this is my most frustrating Heli challenge ever!
