Disposing Lipos
How should I dispose a Lipo in this condition? It is like a ticking bomb to me and I doubt if I should even discharge it.

I had a lipo like that, I took a spayed shovel and chopped it in half! It smoked a bit and got hot, then just fizzled out!Bill Whittaker

I set mine on the grill and hooked up a work light until the voltage was zero. Worked very well with no crazy bursts then disposed of them.

One poke with a No.11 exacto and it will discharge mui-rapido then you can chunk it in the trash.

NO. Unless you want to watch either your trash and whatever is close by, or the garbage truck burn to the ground. Besides, a single poke with an xacto blade doesn't do anything for the rest of the puffed cells in the pack. Your method does nothing to render the pack inert. VERY BAD, DANGEROUS, and IRRESPONSIBLE ADVICE.

Batteries Plus also takes and disposes of them.

spayed shovel
Must have gotten it from the local veterinarian and you'll never have to worry about it having a litter of garden trowels.

Just how would one go about spaying a shovel?

I have a couple I'm worried about, they're hanging pretty close together on the garage wall.
