I have one piece motor 750mx 450kv ..i wonder if 690sx gear can take this kv of motor. As mikado mention the kv is 370-400

Will a 90HV YGE manage this heli? My style is mild 3D ..

Power plant will be 12s 4500mah .. thanks

I have servos, esc, motor, ready in my store room.. jus wonder if 690sx can fit in.. if not have to find other brands alrdy.. but i still love logo so much.

It should work with 11T pinion and HS of around 1800 or higher. Assuming 12S setup. Your peak current will likely be around 100-110A, but these will be transient. Sustained current will be far less than 90A unless you plan of doing speed runs.

I've never stripped a Logo module 1 main gear when using an 11T pinion except when my motor bearings were shot and excess slop developed.

The motor will fit. I researched various motors to reconfigure my 690SX with and sizewise, the 750 and 800s fit within the frames. The specs on the standard motor that Mikado used are about a 1000w less than the 800.

I honestly don't know about stripping the main gear. At present, I am running the stock motor and just replaced the OWB, which is the acknowledged weak spot in the drive train. I don't think, looking at the new double OWB and housing, that there will be any more problems running that with the more powerful motor, at least I hope. I'll let you know when I get it installed and start flying it.

I also did analysis on both the 14 and 15 tooth pinions. With upping the KV to 450, you will pretty much have to run the 14t pinion for the CC software to be happy. You do have available a 12 and an 11t pinion that appears will fit with the main shaft that would seem to work well with a 450kv motor.

You can only run a 14 or 15T pinion on a 690SX if you want to run the counter bearing. And if you don't run the counter bearing you can run a smaller pinion but it won't be as robust and you will have trouble getting a circlip onto the bottom of the main shaft.

I think I'm wrong. I think you can use smaller pinions.

Sorry

Smaller pinions CAN be used but the strength of the drivetrain decreases. Mikado designed this setup to have as much pinion teeth/main gear interaction as possible. Using smaller pinions will cause stripping issues. Stay with the 14 or 15T pinions and adjust the KV of the motor accordingly....Ron

On a 690SX?? Yes on the 600SX but the larger blades and drive train stress will strip with an 11T pinion...
