Voting machines are scary.

But they can't be hacked...yeah right!
I'd bet the machines use Unix/Linux and they have the "ShellShock" bug in the bash shells.

I love how the very same dipshiites (Dems) that rail against election corruption in foreign countries, are the very same people rigging stuff here. One day somebody will do their job and dig in and find out just how prevalent it's been the last 2-3 elections here.

But, I agree that Win sux in comparison.
I didn't say that they were not networked. I said that I find it hard to imagine that they would be *PUBLICALLY* networked. VPN with 128bit encryption isn't exaxtly accessible, and frankly, they may be isolated to the polling location, thus requiring poll staff to audit and collect final results. No real need to wide area network when you think about it.
