Hi folks, I have a align 450 se v2 that will be hovering fine and suddenly loose rpm and altitude. So far I have not crashed but could easily happen if I can't get this fixed. Here is what I have done so far-changed out the motor, esc, receiver, checked the battery-it had a good charge, looked for bad insulation and loose wires. I have noticed when this happens the orange light on the receiver stays on, indicating the bec and signal is ok. Also, when the rpms of the main rotor drop, the motor rpm also drop, just the opposite of what should happen if the one way bearing was was slipping so I don't think it is the bearing. When I turn the main rotor by hand there is no unusual resistance. HELP!! Any thoughts or tests to get this fixed are much appreciated!

if it doesn't fit, make it fit.

Low Voltage Cut Off/Soft
Check to see what your low voltage setting is in your ESC... most likely around 3.6/7... set it to 3.5 and see if that helps the problem... I usually disable my low voltage cut off...and USE THE TIMER to keep the batteries in the safe zone!!

Let us know if this helps you out..

thanks for the reply. I have an align esc rce-bl35x. I can't disable the low voltage cut off-the lowest I can make it is 3.0 which it is already.

if it doesn't fit, make it fit.

Suggestion..
MAybe your should move your post to the electric Align forum... I am sure that more will see it there, and maybe be able to figure out what is going on for you...
I am not coming up with any other ideas....

Good Luck, Stan

You have checked all the main electrical things. Must be mechanical. Something that is causing a lot of friction someplace. Check all the bearing. Make sure the belt is not dragging in some way.

Good luck.

Could it be static from the belt drive? Try some silicone spray or WD-40 on the belt...it won't hurt anything.
