Big Change???
Hi guys and gals. I was in the hobby some years ago, now I want to get back to flying rc badly.

I spoke to a fellow whom I know from when I was flying helis, and he told me that everyone has gone to electric now, no more fuel.

Is this a fact?

Also, I live in Lakeland, Florida and need contact with some rc people in order to make my come back a little easier with the latest info.

Thanks in advance.

Nitro is alive and well!

Every hobby shop in my area carries several brands of nitro fuel.

Yes, electric is very popular, but still a lot of nitro activity out there.

Chris,
You live in the RC capitol of Florida!

Look up Frank Tiano and also google RC flying in Lakeland FL.

There are several flying fields in Lakeland and I am sure your Hobby Town will have a list of places to fly locally.

Welcome back to the madness!!

We "rotorheads" get together from noon on Weds at TRACTampa.com. until the sun goes down. Also Saturday afternoons. Exit 10 off I-4.

This weekend theres a heli funfly at Tripple Creek, in Riverview. F3C smooth flying as well as some 3D. We will be there Saturday.

Also an event at Lakeland this weekend by Frank Tiano...going Friday myself. https://www.facebook.com/events/743603505699981/

We have gassers, electrics and glow...choose your poison!

Edited:
Fixed the funfly at Lakeland. Its called 12 O'clock high...Giant Warbirds already happened.
~~Enjoying the hobby one flight at a time~~

You heard right. Electric is easy to manage, nitro bit hard for new comers.
