guys, this is the absolute first one of these to ever exist. it is the conversion for the Align 700E DFC. This is one great heli, with some wonderful design changes vs. the older HelixHeli.
Gear Ratio - 7.1 - has TONS of pop for a gas motor, this gas heli does 3D like a .91 nitro.
Lighter than the older kit. this heli uses frame doublers to keep the clutch stack and the main bearing blocks aligned and tight instead of the large aluminium blocks. it is MUCH lighter this way. we all know the key to a 3D gasser is weight, and efficiency,, which this heli has both with the 7.1 gear ratio, and the improved stiffener design.
this heli also has an adjustable fuel tank. meaning you can shift the fuel tank forward, backwards, up, and down to get the CG perfectly correct for your setup. its a killer idea. yo can use goblin o-rings to hold the tank, or velcro straps. whichever you like.
still uses the strong zenoah clutch, no tiny nitro clutch to worry about re-lining every month on this heli....this clutch system is designed for top start. however, the actual top start shafts have not made it through prototype testing yet. so it is a pull start helicopter until the testing has been completed. this can be bought from Tin very easily once they are complete.
it currently has the DFC head installed, but you can run the standard head as well. it also comes with a standard head!!! so either way you want to run it, you have either setup.
this model uses aluminium radio trays in lieu of G10. this helps with stiffness, and also cuts down on the amount of material needed to stiffen the frame. effectively allowing for more area to install electronics and accessories. the aluminium trays are actually out of an Assault 700E DFC kit, which you have to purchase too to complete the build. this kit uses the electric motor mount as a pinion guard to keep your electronics out of the pinion and protect them, and to keep gear mesh optimal under the high stress loads the gasser motors can apply to the frames.
this is a great heli, that takes all align parts, so crash parts are very easy to find and cheap.
comes with A TON of spare parts, and not cheap ones either, so please look over the pics of the spares closely. there are some high dollar parts in there. this heli comes a complete conversion, ready for electronics and motor. NO DONER KIT REQUIRED HERE! if you would like to buy this heli with servos, please inquire through PM, as i do have some servos that i can sell with this kit. brand new Savox servos.
All black gears installed, i was doing some testing with white and black, so there is a mix of them in spare parts. i have doubled up on the tail fin for 2 reasons - one, help get CG perfect, two, to make the tail fin that much stronger too keep the tail blades out of the dirt if i had a hard auto (which never happened but CG was perfect )
there is around $1,300 worth of stuff here, i will let go for $900 spares included. it will cost around $1,500 to build this heli new, at a minimum. and you have a few crash kits here with the spare parts.
