After a brief stint away from Helis, ready to get back into it for fun. I got me an Embla which looks cool and as you know is from my Alma Mater.

Also as a side note, I am working with Hirobo and VRC hobbies.com to offer Hirobo stuff in the USA again. Check them out at http://www.vrchobbies.com. Most of what anyone would want is there and at some great prices. Get here in the USA inside of week. All items in stock are ready to ship.

Looking forward to flying with you guys again.

Jeff

Holy crap, great to have you back Jeff Years ago you helped me get some parts for a Sceadu Evo 50 that was defective from Hirobo. Loved the support and insane turn around back then.

BTW...

Do you have the full skinny on the real status of Hirobo? I don't just mean parts supply or access to kits (on Amazon too) that were designed years ago but rather the development of new products?

Thank you guys. Not 100% sure of their future plans at the moment with new kits. All I am really concerned with now is continuing support for Hirobo now at the moment. Really nothing wrong with what they have now and what was re-kitted as. Sure there are some ideas that really we can implement much like Ruediger has and maybe even carry some of his stuff, so this is the beginning. Like anything, getting all back together will help directions.

I also have to get back up to speed on the new stuff. I look at Hirobo like Porsche, same 911 for years with very little change. Like Porsche, Hirobo is a good thing going. We just need to see what we can change or offer for improvements. Pricing is definitely nice.

The hot rod Freya FBL is a neat kit that could do well here. FBL has really fixed many of the rotor head complaints from the past and that is a primary focus for us.

Anyway, this is the beginning with lots of hopes, realistic thinking, and strong support as you have come to expect. In our new arrangement, we have a lot of room like Ruediger to do what is needed at our side to meet your guys' feedback.

Here is to the next chapter.

the link doesn't work for me

i wish you all the best of luck in your quest to bring the great hirobo product back on the map
youe assment between the hirobo and the 911 are spot on
branching out into the uk supply of hirobo parts/products you'd have my support
i've herd a rumour that hirobo will take up a step with the model department late this year or possible next year after a large project they have on is completed
the truth of this is unkown, but it was a good source

if they do bring a new model range out it will need to be keenly priced
with parts pricing to match, this has been an area that hirobo has suffered with in the past with the newer models coming out at a cheaper cost
it will need a single stacked frame that looks shiney with a carbon look to it
ali rotor head bearing blocks etc
fbl
electric (with a nitro/gas convertion kit for us die hards)
a glass canopy with a good paint job
with torque tube and belt drive options
it will need to keep the hirobo quality and reliablity

but the biggest thing it will need very good marketing

Thanks Payne, I am sensitive to all your thoughts. Fortunately the current Hirobo line up is in great shape. And you are right about parameters. You can bet when that day comes we'll all be ready and excited. I think I know what you are referring to about the other projects. Both are comnercial, one is an industrial level drone shown in a rescue safety format and a full size on person coaxial experimental helicopter. Kobayashi had pics of it on his fb page. Pretty cool!

Jeff, The link above doesn't work because there's a period at the end of the URL. Edit the URL in the post and remove the period at the end of the URL and it will work fine. Try the link below.

Jeff
I fly hirobo products
but we have to look at what is happening with the other machines and trends to hopefuly see hirobo stay as a main line helicopter producer

I am more than happy with my sdx50, d3, freya, sceadu's and I even still fly a shuttle and ghp346
in the uk we now have a limited parts supply and need to seek parts overseas, I'm hoping this will chage in the near future so we get full supports again

I also beleave the current Hirobo models are very good
but they need to apeal to the new modeler and those that think you need the latest and greatest product

I see a lot of upcoming upgrades for another brand being tested by a sponsored pilot, most make little difference to the models flight performance but they have made the trend that you need all the latest goodies on your heli to make it fly as gooda s the pro's
hirobo with an older style model that needs no upgrading from the box
falls down from the trend setters because of it, but the model is a reliable and solid performer

a model shop owner that I was flying with the once commentated on my sceadu as the evo decals were very sun bleached saying " that is a true statement of how good that model is by the amount of use its had over the years and looking so well used"
he stopped flying his sceadus a few years ago as he was dlying other brands that his shop could sell without any effort as they were the must have brand
