Just like it the intro, what will I need to do this. I am not an electric guy. I would like to have only one battery to charge and will not be stick banging, just flying and would like as long a flight time as possible. Do I need a different KV motor, blades or ESC? Am I just wasting my time and should find a old nitro?
Trying to get into electric. Sick of flying just 450's in the yard.
Thanks

There are several stock helicopter combos that can spin 600 blades on 6 cells: Align Trex 550, Mikado Logo 550 SE, etc.

My own experience with a Logo 550SE:
- 120-130A ESC
- 1100kV motor
- 153T Main Gear
- 12-14T pinion
- 600mm blades

You can use Mr Mel's headspeed calculator to determine which pinion will be best for your target headspeed.

Have almost identical setup as Pascal on my 500se, running 14t pinion
on 1100kv. It is certainly VERY capable on 6s5000s, but the flight time
is around 7m at the most, including aeros, no 3D, you might get more
just flying around but not much more. And really, 6-6.5m is the norm.

What about trying (or checking on the h/s calculator) something in the
700-900kv range motor w. 6s? That might get you a couple or three minutes more, depending on what style flying you do.

Just need to find out what tooth count your maingear and optional pinions are for your particular heli, and what cell count/c rating you
want to run, and enter those in the calculator.

600 Blade on 6cell
Thanks, It looks like I would need a higher KV motor than a 500kv?
The Blade doesn't come with a ESC. I am thinking a 120amp? Or would a100amp. HV be better? If I run a HV 100amp I could always put in two 6cells and (or) run just one 5000mah. pack.
Thanks 870Heli

Have you checked into any in the 1000-800kv range? yeah, would think
you would certainly want something bigger than 500kv for a 600, and not
even sure those size motors would even fit in a 600 size frame, dimension wise.

If you are going to run lower h/s setup almost exclusively, you should
be fine w what you mentioned on escs. I run a Jive 80hv in my 600se w
690s,and either 6 or 10s, no issues.

Yes the KV of the stock motor is 500KV. I thought that it was to low for a six-cell set up. They seam to use them with 700s but it to low for a 600. That is the way I see it.
Thanks
