It's time for radio frequency jammers or something near airports. It's just a matter of time until some bad person turns one into a bomb or something or flies it right into an engine.

Prosecution needs to be harsh. This is a terrorist act. Federal charges of attempted murder times the number of passengers should be made for anyone who flies one near an airplane. Ought to get someone's attention.

A catastrophe. It's coming. It's just a question of when. I say try to avoid one. Throw the book at these guys. I can no longer advocate as a hobbyist because of these activities.

Fly the Defibrillator to the patient
This sounds like a great application for using MRs (multi-rotors). We can get a defibrillator to a person in need quickly.

There are a lot of issues to solve but it sounds fantastic. This is how we get public acceptance, rather than more flight restrictions.

Unfortunately, jamming the 2.4 to 2.485 GHz band would interefere with legitimate uses for wireless networks, medical devices, and such.

If you are referring to an actual drone, (Reaper, Predator, etc.) then probably not. As for multirotor models I would be afraid the animal would be injured or killed by the rotors.

The last half is, whoa.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

This week's AWS&T has a article about "drones". I'll see if I can find an online version.
