All is looking great!!

It's very inspiring see how you're overcoming the experience with optimism and actions. Please, don't stop posting your progress. I would love to see your new shop and machines .

Believe it or not, we all are connected by this hobby, and feel the frustration. But now, we are going share the happiness of your success.

Spent Saturday down at Bell Blokes utilising his Wren Spares and machinery.

The Turbine looked very much worse for wear, as can be seen from the photos.

I followed Bells advice and for 2 weeks I soaked both turbines in a large bucket of JetA1 which I had mixed with oil. This prevented the water damage from corroding parts of the turbine.
I managed to use a brillo pad and got off most of the black soot from the fire..

We then put it in Bell parts cleaner which had some chemicals in and paraffin.
Well Bell bless him worked through the night until 4AM on my behalf, using a buffer pad to clean even more dirt and grime off..
I could not believe it in the morning, the turbine looked brand new..

We now re assembled and checked over everything, as we had stripped it down to parts, even the gear box.. all was fine and unharmed..
We assembled it back, and for a couple of festo fittings and the gae/fuel restrictor all was fine, the seals in the restrictor had melted so I need to order a new one from Wren on Monday, but we assembled it and WOW it looks brand new.

Now this week I will be building a new airframe, I got a second hand Predator Wren from someone, it looks like Haybayusa old machine from 2009 with a MK2 engine, I have taken the MK2 out as it needs new bearings at later date, have stripped down the airframe to single parts, replaced all the bearings as they were shot, and have ordered some more parts, there is still a load of parts available for the Predator more than I realised.. I now have enough parts to build 3 airframes..

I would like to thank Bell and his girlfriend for giving up their Saturday and his Flat front room as a temp workshop.

I will be seeing him again a few weeks after the airframe is built and ready to go..

All The Best

Hey Matt, wow those before and aft pictures look great ;-)
Just got back from our Italian Job tour, Bertone car went like a rocket!
Came home and extracted a lovely clean Ferrari from my garage, so thanks to your Lad we are even. Many thanks to him for doing such a great job of cleaning it, you owe him one now, ha, ha.
See you for the next installment....better get the car dirty again.

Cheers Bell,
look forward to seeing you over weekend for a test flight.

The shed is now done, been down to Limo's place and built up the machine from the loads and loads of spares I got from all over the world, some new some newish, the furthest from Indonesia, one pilot getting rid of his bits and bobs, I have enough spares plus 2 airframes to build 4 Preds.

have also built up a collection of canopy's
ha ha, I sent 2 away to be done as they were a bit tired, I sent them to this guy up north who does scale and canopies.
http://www.Cano-Fx.co.uk

Considering it took over 17hrs of work plus painting, was worth it.
Canopies have been done in the original colour of my first predator.

I also got a canopy sent from Holland (ETAN) he had yellow one which was gathering dust and he just charged me for postage which was kind, so I have a nice collection now..

Shed still looks empty but that is it, just 2 models now, no more for this year, until Rotor Live in 2015..

All The Best

How many canopy's did you find and have, I had problems finding just one! for my predator and it does not even have a windshield, good luck with the rebuild.

P.S. sorry for the spelling or the grammar I am dyslexic!

P.S. sorry for the spelling or the grammar I am dyslexic!
