So, it sounds like I need to get a small LIFE or LIPO pack if I wanted to run higher voltage, or a 4cell NiCd/mh for the standard voltage.
Yes, the BEC output voltage on the KOSMIK is adjustable and can be set to match your electronics (i.e., standard voltage, high voltage, etc.) A buffer pack is then selected based on the BEC output voltage.

So, um, is anyone running a YGE 160???
The YGE 160 doesn't have a BEC. You don't need to use the BEC in the KONTRONIK. You could use a battery to power your on-board electronics with the KONTRONIK just as you would with the YGE 160.

How can I adjust BEC voltage in my Kosmik200? Progdisk or Bluetooth module,,, are they the only two ways to do this? BTW,,, Nobody seems to have these for sale. Any suggestions?

The Progdisc has been discontinued.

Don't know about Bluetooth module. Probably out of stock since you can't have a progdisc.

Apparently a supplier for Kontronik who makes a part for the Progdisc either stopped making the part, or went out of business.

Kontronik is really doing its customers a disservice by not designing the Kosmik to have an adjustable BEC via your TX.

So it's customers have to buy a $800 to $900 ESC and have to accept the default BEC value of 5.7 volts. Ridiculous.

One vendor I checked is showing an ETA of 9/18 for the KONTRONIK Bluetooth Module.

This definitely was not something I was expecting from what seemed like the best money can buy... Anyone doing "no BEC/dedicated RX battery" options? If so, could you teach me how I can get to a good setup?

What servos, FBL, and RX are you using?

According to the specs both of these servos have an operating voltage of 4.8-7.4. I did not check the FBL/RX voltages.

Is there a reason you cannot use the default output voltage on the KOSMIK until the Bluetooth module becomes available? As mentioned earlier, one vendor is show an ETA for the Bluetooth module in two days.

Thanks for all the great info. As I am getting back into the hobby in 15 yrs, I just don't know enough. I just thought 700 class helis required or are better with higher voltages? If they do well with 4.8v, yes, I guess that is one of my options.

Your link is to a swash servo.........

Of course you can use the default. But it's silly that we have to use a low voltage that will not allow the full potential of the servos we are running.

The KONTRONIK Bluetooth Module is now showing in stock at one of the vendors I just checked. The same vendor was showing out of stock earlier in the week.

The kontronik ProgUnit is the replacement for the Progdisc The software for this unit is almost finished ,That said you can use the ProUnit as is without the PC software to update to the new firmwares that offer BEC voltage adjustment mode 10 that can be found on Kontroniks web site!Heres a video for updating with the ProgUnit

Watch at YouTube

Firmwares can be found here http://www.kontronik.com/index.php?...mid=193&lang=en
