New 450x
I'm thinking about a new 450x and they have a new updated version with the helical main gear. It looks like it is selling for $399 or $100 less than the previous version of the 450 X. Seems like a good deal. Does anyone know if it is actually available yet? Or are they still waiting to the first shipment I've looked around and it seems like most online shops only show the older version and for $499. It's going to be hard to sell an older version for $100 more than the one with a helical main gear and metal geared servos

I still haven't seen any new 450X in stock yet but my friend just bought one of the old versions for $325 so apparently they are trying harder to get rid of old stock now. I think I even saw a vendor selling them for $300 cash or $325 credit at IRCHA

I have never seen anything on a new 450X. Just the RTF version

I am not sure what HH and Blade are up to? Maybe taking on the upscale advanced market with the Pro series was too much for them.

When the 500X came out it was overpriced and years behind the curve.

A good thread on it..

I got a 300CFX and don't regret it as long as they keep making parts for it. I love flying my 130X but regretfully that ride is not worth the price of admission.

The "new" 450x (which is really just an updated 450x) with the metal gear servos, slant cut main gear, and updated motor (no stepped shaft) should be shipping any day now.

We have some really cool things coming later this year.

Of the really cool things, would a belt drive 130X be in there?

I just picked up one of the new 450x's as a RTF. I have been out of the hobby for around 7 years and wanted a quick way back in. I have been flying it all weekend with great success. The initial set up was ok but it needed tweaked a little to get it fling really well. Very impressed really as this is the first time I have flown one of these small electric helis.

ESC
Hey Cycleguy0623,
On the older 450X they had a problem with the ESC. So, can you give me the info on the ESC that's on the new 450X.

Thanks,
Charles

flyercld,

No major problems with the stock 450x esc. I'm sure you can always find someone in any forum that has had a problem with this (or anything) but it not a widespread problem imho.

Cheers,
TomC

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I have not been on much with work. I have not had any problems with the ESC at all and I'm around 85 flights into it.
