Mounting the Vbar Controll Receiver and Antenna Wires
Would be interesting to see how everyone is mounting their vbar control receivers and routing of antenna wires.

Looking for ideas - any pictures would be great.

Thanks,
Jeff

I did the same thing as above except I just tie-wrapped the plastic tubes to the frame.

Futura SE, I don't don't if I would mount the one tube so close and perfectly aligned with the motor??? I guess the actual antenna portion of the wire is just above the top of the motor.
They do say in the manual to keep the antenna runs as far from motors/other electronics as possible. You should have a look at the antenna status with the heli spun up on the ground with the right side of it facing you and make sure your signal strength is still good to go.

Thanks, I didn't know you could turn the receiver sideways like that. Its giving me some more ideas with my TDR, which I needed.

Thanks,
Jeff

The vertical antenna is in front of motor and my reception is great all the way around. I range tested it thoroughly before flying and I have dozens of flights on the system now.Team Mikado USA -- Team Insane Canopy -- Team Scorpion -- Team Evo Power Batteries

Best Reception...
FYI...

I mounted the RX just like Ron on Logo 550SX except I used the Logo tail pushrod holder like ron for one of the leads and put the lead in a R/C Car antenna tube holder from the 72mhz days so it is exactly parallel to the boom and over it and the other I mounted in a antenna tube again going straight down. When I range check that setup I got almost 100% signal strength all the time in a 360º test.

The V-Control system works well and is not very picky it seems....

I use the straws from my kid's juice boxes. Works great, and I have access to a ton of them. Coffee stirrers also work well. Put a drop of CA on them and stick it wherever you want on your frame and then insert the antenna. You'll be good to go.Nick Crego

No, I don't remember.
The only RC cars I ever had ran on a wooden track with a slot in it.

I run the RX antennas thru pieces of the black antenna tube that comes with the Align kits(or at least used to). What I like is that my heat gun will soften the plastic enough for it to bend, and let it cool and it will keep the set.Logo 700, Specter 700, Goblin 700, Trex 700DFC, Gaui X7, Logo 690SX, Logo 600SX; Trex 470 Trex 500
