Been there!!

Maybe put in some expo and reduce the dual rates to soften things up until you see if you need to make any adjustments in the setup.

On a brand new build I usually go 70-80% on the dual rates and 30-40% expo.

The status light will be GREEN if you have your gyro set to operate in Heading Hold mode. It will be red if you are set up for rate mode operation of the gyro.

The other light, the GOVernor light, is RED if you're not using the governor.

If you have followed the set up instructions carefully, you will have set up a zero degree pitch setting with the collective stick in the middle of its travel, you will have somewhere around +/-12 degrees of collective pitch travel, and you will have 8 degrees of aileron/elevator cyclic pitch.

You can check the maximum aileron roll and elevator pitch rate using the supplied PC software. There is a page that displays the maximum rates allowed in degrees per second. You can also use that same software to change those values. Elevator pitch and aileron roll rate can also be set using the transmitter stick procedure.

While you are in the PC software, set the Cyclic Expo setting to ZERO, and use your transmitter EXPO to adjust the feel and response to your liking.

If you find the heli is just too sensitive for your style of
flying or experience level, add in Aileron and Elevator EXPO at your transmitter. As you are flying a Futaba radio, you will want to use NEGATIVE expo to soften response around neutral.

The two adjustable pots on top of the unit set the Aileron and Elevator GAINs. If the heli oscillates badly after an aileron or elevator input, or if it appears to have a nasty wobble at hover, turn the GAIN pots down till that stops.

You may also want to use the PC software to insure that your rudder DELAY setting is ZERO, as it likes to default to a value of 30.
