ParkZone SU29 Sukhoi
I picked up the new ParkZone Sukhoi SU-29MM this week. I really like the size and colors for visibility. I test flew it today and it feels like a great plane for under 250 bucks. This was just a quick test flight to make sure everything was moving correctly. I didn't try the recovery mode yet, I need to adjust the elevator a bit to get it flying level. Sorry about the boring flight, I started with RC helis and I am not a good airplane pilot so the video is pretty basic. It was still very easy to fly despite my low skill level and seems like a great plane for the money IMO. I haven't tried the different flight modes, I just did a quick flight in low rate mode to see if anything needs adjusted. Hopefully this will be a great plane to learn some 3D with.

I really like the plane. I primarily fly helis and just fly planes a little on the side so this is only my 7th or 8th plane. It is definately my favorite so far although I don't have a lot to compare it to. I don't fly my planes 3d, just fast aerobatic stuff. It works really well for this although I have to fly in precision mode so my elevator is pretty limited compared to the other flight modes. Unfortunately this plane has a modified RX that is not programmable to adjust this in the as3x software. It is not a huge problem for me, it still loops pretty fast but I would turn it up a bit if I could. A lot of people swap the RX to the standard 636 RX so the elevator throw can be adjusted in precision mode or just add a standard RX without as3x.

Overall it is a very easy plane to fly. It is very smooth and predictable with lots of power. For the price, I don't see any other planes I would prefer. I left the screws out of my wings shortly after I got the plane and had a wing come off 150 foot up and spiral into the ground. Messed up the prop, spinner, motor mount and wings. I replaced the motor mount and prop and was able to epoxy the wings. Luckilly it flies good again, I thought it was going to be a total loss when I watched it spiral into the ground.

This video shows the limited throw in Precision mode.

Nice plane.
Buddy has one at field and it was a challenge for me at first. I felt I was not in control until you learn its ways and relax. Cant turn off gyros at all...bummer. Great park flyer...enjoy it.
