How much fuel do you burn in a day? You must fly a lot.

Hi Gator1

I like:

- Big lid, for 'no spill' filling.

- Fuel tube NOT on lid. Doesn't get tangled up or fall in dirt when filling.

- Big base, won't tip over in car.

- Large volume. 1 gal is usually enough for a day, So when less than 1 gal you have enough space to add a complete gal... No 1/2 bottles left lying in garage/car/etc.

Love it. Well done. You have clearly thought this one out.

Regards
Paul

I received some PM's on where I found the Jug.
I had this one from my dirt biking days but I have seen similar ones on Amazon.

Does anyone have any interest in buying ready for use with a pump or ready for your pump? Either jug would come with fittings installed?

I've started doing research on where I could get the parts.

Thanks Mike G (Gator)

Just an FYI

Large fuel cans are not advised by the fuel mfgs. and in general are not a good idea unless you are flying alot! Our nitro fuels are hygroscopic meaning they absorb moisture from the air. When there is a large quanity if air mixed in with the fuel your fuel is absorbing the moisture brought in with the air.

There are always exceptions to these guide lines, if you live in a very dry climate of if you burn over 2 gals a day.

I make that mistake, too...

5 gallon can...

No way to carry that thing to the flight field.
If you have a power generation gas plant, ok.

It is enough to carry just one gallon. In a good sunny day, you can fly 16 times without problems...

What nitro are you flying that gets 16 in a gallon? My 700s are 6-7 and my 600 is 12. I have a 2.5gal jug and that’s been perfect, if I leave the house with it full I always have enough for one day of flying.

Oh. I sure don’t get that many out of a gallon with my Whiplash gasser either. Maybe 10-12, but each flight is so long I’m sure not burning a gallon in a day.
