Ignore Or Not Ignore, That is the?

for various unknown reasons some rr members have put yours truly on IGNORE. Throttle Spring for instance? WRONGO? What was wrong is what was noted in the very first 3 posts in that topic, that the tail servo is under high load all the time, hardly. The reference was used to describe load on a servo with a nitro throttle spring.

Any others who've got me on ignore, ignore away all you want. I don't come on RR to stir the pot, I have my own perception of things due to vast adult experience personal and mechanical. Helis are great to play with, my personal interest can become something greater than flying only.

This "IGNORE" thing can't get me down and it's like shoving something under the rug, out of sight out of mind, not the first time. Right now I feel like saying a huge YOU SUCK but it doesn't fit in to my master plan, (hehehehehe).

I understand rc heli flyers to be intellectually aware more than many others with other rc interests.

And if you think I don't fly more than a 300, WRONGO, I'm really not out to impress anyone while knowing what the larger helis can do (cost you thousands, seriously injure and or deadly, ruin your day) and when and where they can be flown with regard to the public. Some things can wait and I'm not in a rush except to finish a ton of work around the property I'm residing at, piro flips will have to wait a little while longer (if that aught to make you like me).

Take care all, no worries, have not flown for most of two weeks and am not burning to fly anytime soon, at second base and the team has called Time out (how do I re-program this 3gx to fly a 550 nitro? no time atm, no time).

Ignore, ignore away all you want, and then some, don-matta. See you 'round. Boys will be boys.

"I CAN FLY" is not something I could say a few years back while rehabilitating.

You can hear the on coming whisper of the bullet before it hits. I've recently read about sonic boom, shock waves, and how air is warned ahead of an object moving through it, all to do with aerodynamics I'm studying presently, whoda known.

May I explain it this way, Summer is finally here, weather is great, time for friends, flying, beach, cottage, camping, good times. When I tried to reply to a certain post of interest, with good info and can not pm the topic starter either, it felt like a total shut out. For most of you a rc heli is a fair past time nothing more. In some topics you may not always be safe from criticism, different people handle things in different ways. Being ignored is a big negative. I can't tell you how much being ignored has cost me, many thousands of dollars, credit history, lost time, business, friends, more bad bad bad.

As I am presently studying supersonic and sonic aerodynamics in the interest of improving performance (successfully) RR has unwittingly become a great resource of info in terms of picking up little clues.

This post was largely (subconsciously) reactionary to some very ignorant people in my parts and simply provoked by the straw that broke the camels back (so to speak). Can't say much other than the back yard I flew circuits in up till a few weeks ago is now too small and not enticing, a back yard which was the interest of said ignorant persons who thought I was trailer trash. Nope, 50 thousand + pounds of physical earth moving (still not 100% done) with a flight session, testing, repairs, thrown in between for the past two years I now have an awesome back yard and even more awesome rc heli (helis). Ohh, I CAN FLY rc helis and quite well thank you, quite well, 3d in there? maybe. Hover a 700? Nose in? should not be a problem, not really.

In the meanwhile, consider my involvement on RR as a bit of a soft sell, one day this will make perfect sense.

take care.

It seems like the IGNORE got to you, if you believe that something is a good idea and you share it and get put on the ignore list what do you care.

Ignored

Get over it, move on.

IF you have pissed off several people to the point they have ignored you it might be wise to rethink your actions.

Valuable information with poor delivery becomes null. Justifiable opinion delivered offensively becomes damaging. Look in the mirror. Then look through other perspectives humbly. Humility and respect and manners rarely result in ignore list, but there have been exceptions.

Additionally, RR has in the past experienced glitches that placed people on ignore lists without the requests of users. Mark has gone in to repair these event before. Mark can verify the other members wishes and desires and respond appropriately.

Finally, users who hit ignore often decide to take their toys and go home to pout. We can't control their ego or tempers. Let them play by themselves. The world they have imagined for them suits their needs best in their nutty minds. Then again, some people get tired of being bullied by keyboard and google know it alls so they take a stand and slam the ignore door in their face. Again, self evaluate, swallow your pride, and back off.

Maybe? Or certainly?

Should not be a problem? Is not a problem.

These answers are completely polar. Perhaps the real truth is revealed. Was your credibility questioned, which hurt your feelings?

Get over it and fly more. Internet experts spouting off opinions and advice all the time don't sit we'll with pilots that can back up the talk and lay down the smack, so to speak.

, that was to be expected I guess.

More to the point that there are many ignorant people who I've worked for, some for financial reward, others for favors. Not everything goes as expected, though sometimes things turn out better than ever. In this case Mark and I worked out the situation to a better understanding past present and future resulting from one simple "ignore".

Well over the "ignore" thing I just wonder for a moment if it's not being ignorant to put someone on ignore. Admittedly I've ignored ladies for awhile, helis not too much to blame, a little, much more other local causes, extremely ignorant shyt too.

Heli flyers are an unique group.

Heyo, I don't intend to be "in your face" all the time, a bit of startling experience recently caused me to look for an outlet, rr is somewhat anonymous right now and it's cool to float experiences, theories and ideas without being taken uber seriously at every word.

Not asking for a shoulder to cry on, maybe more to get laid with some fit hottie, and yes they have crossed my path often during my years, every time I go out the door actually. Laid? or Heli? Laid? or Heli? that should have been the title,

I use the ignore feature in a couple cases to reduce the signal/noise ratio; other than that, the scroll buttons work perfectly well as devices to pass over stuff you don't want to read.

There are many who don't like to be told the truth or corrected when something they say is wrong - for them the ignore feature works well to shut that off.

Personally, I tend to ignore ignore features and only use them in exceptional cases (harassment and/or just super noisy posters, etc)...

So I'd just recommend scrolling instead...

Not only that, but you can't reply at all so everyone else won't see your good info, either. It's a BAD function of this forum and I've never seen it anywhere else where if a topic starter (OP) has someone on their ignore list, that person can't even respond in the thread at all even if they're being personally "attacked" because they were put on ignore after the thread started. Hasn't happened to me (yet?), but I've seen it before and more than once.

I don't blame him..When noobs like yourself come on here telling someone their wrong about something you know nothing about, its easyer to ignore them so ya don't have to deal with crying/bickering which is what this topic is..Notice all the people that care..It bothered you enough to the point where you made a pouting thread which means you would of forsure went back and forth on his topic when its spot on and VERY helpfull to others..Best thing to do is sit back and learn, not tell someone their wrong about something you don't know anything about which is "The tail servo works 10X harder than the throttle servo with a tiny/weak spring" ..

When you learn to fly and push a well setup tail pretty hard, then you'll understand..Some of us spent days/weeks/months/hours doing backwards flight..70+ MPH Hurricanes, funnles ect... work the piss and stresses the hell out of a tail servo..The throttle servo isn't being worked AT ALL,even with a tiny/weak throttle return spring..
LOTS of RC nitro land cars, trucks use throttle return springs so this isn't something new..Again,learn about this stuff and you won't be upset over it..
Not being a ass/mean or anything ..

Nothing wrong or mean about anything in my post,I just don't beat around the bush....If what I said hurts his feelings, life will suck for him..
Wasn't a personal attack,no name calling ect.. so no harm done..Clearly this thread shows his feelings are hurt because he was put on ignore for sake of arguement..If he wasn't upset, this thread wouldn't be here...Bunch of grown men here so clearly noone cares ...
Wickedclown has me on ignore but im not about to write a book about it crying to everyone..Could care less, move on ..

hmm, this has provoked a curious interest.
Those stresses are exactly what gets some guys worried about pushing the limits of the machine, yours truly included, sure. Something about not holding back came to mind recently however.

Steven, yea, I posted that because I thought I was being prejudiced due to the size heli I fly mainly, that I had no experience and was only a forum flyer. The other forums are full of coax, fp, 450 and down, mcpx types who cannot venture to consider larger birds, reasons not clear but easily understood, fear and expense.

It's a very good thing the 700 imp came my way and not to some other dude who might have overlooked the missing bell crank screw on the tail slider while the remaining one was loose, the dealer stating it was ready to fly as is, equipped with one sat close to cf. Alarming to say the least, experience on the smaller 450's well worth the aggravation the one I have put me through. Some very good from bad, you see.

Those who had me on ignore did not have the full picture at the time and since canceled the action. Everyone has something to add good or bad.

(and it's kind of disturbing to know all the time put into getting the 550 Shuttle modified and upgraded to fbl hv digital, may not hold up to my style of flight without further upgrades. A mere "Scale" chassis at the end of the day incapable of withstanding the forces of most 3d, plastic tail certainly incapable of pitch required to keep it straight. I've had a heli loose tail authority in a right turn down wind, NOT READY)

My Happy 4th is with you.

Those are easy to spot a mile away even using LOS. Just look for the ones who believe they're right, but cannot provide any credible evidence to support their claims. The I'm right because I said so type. The ignore feature does work well in those situations, but then you loose the entertainment value.
