Quick Intro for a New Vendor of 3D Printed Upgrade Parts
We are a new company producing 3D printed upgrade parts for the Blade 550X/600X and others. All parts are available in multiple colors and are designed and produced in the USA.

Our complete product line can be seen on our website: http://blade550xupgrades.com/

Here are some of our most popular upgrades for the Blade 550X and 600X:

AR7200BX Mounting Platform

This mounting platform makes it easy to install and properly orient the Spektrum AR7200BX receiver unit in the Blade 550X and 600X. It features a recessed platform for the double-sided tape used to secure the receiver, a raised frame for precise alignment, and slots for Velcroâ„¢ straps. No more eyeballing your AR7200BX to make sure it's perfectly parallel to the helicopter centerline!

This mount uses all the factory-provided mounting locations, but eliminates the two aluminum cross members. This provides more space underneath for neater wiring. No extra hardware or frame modifications are necessary. Simply replace the stock carbon fiber mounting plate. Also included is a wire-keeper to help secure your servo wires.

Battery Tray

Perhaps the most irritating "feature" of the Blade 550X and 600X is the way the battery is installed in the frames. Even a single 6S 5000 pack is a very tight fit and difficult to wrestle in and out of the frames once you put Velcroâ„¢ strips on the bottom plate and the battery - which are needed to hold it in place. Extracting the battery can be especially difficult to do without potentaily damaging the battery.

This battery tray for the Blade 550X and 600X solves that problem. A 6S or 12S battery is attached to the tray using the usual Velcroâ„¢ strips, then the entire assembly slides into the frames and snaps into place. The standard Velcroâ„¢ straps that are included with the helicopter can then be used to secure everything. The combination of a positive lock into the bottom plate and the straps securely hold the battery, yet it is easy to remove after a flight.

Castle Creations Phoenix Edge/ICE 120 ESC Mounting Platform

Don't mount your ESC with Velcroâ„¢ or double-sided tape! Lightweight and strong, this mounting platform is designed specifically for the Castle Creations Phoenix Edge 120 HV and ICE 120 electronic speed controllers. The ESC is solidly mounted to the platform with four 3MM cap scews using the mounting lugs built into the ESC.

Cooling is improved by the addition of extra space beneath the ESC and a built-in recess neatens your wiring by capturing the battery leads under the ESC and routing them to the front of the helicopter.

Satellite Receiver Mount for Castle ESC Lock

The Blade 550X and 600X come with the awesome Spektrum AR7200BX Receiver/Flybarless Controller and a DSM-X satellite receiver. The ideal location for the satellite receiver has its antennea oriented 90º from those of the AR7200BX and clear of any part of the aircraft that may block the signal from your transmitter. This includes metal and carbon fiber.

This mount properly orients the satellite receiver and places the antennea clear of any obstructions. It is designed to accept the Castle Creations ESC Lock and mounts solidly on either the left or right side of the frames and includes all necessary mounting hardware.

This upgrade is also available without the ESC Lock mount.

Canopy Mounts

The canopy mounts included with the Blade 550X and 600X leave much to be desired. They don't secure the canopy very well and are hopelessly fragile. They are easily broken by just installing the canopy or bumping it while moving the helicopter around. Replacements are inexpensive, but if you don't have any on hand when you inevitably break one, you're flying day is over.

Our improved canopy mounts are much stronger than the original parts and use thumb screws to firmly hold the canopy in place. More importantly, they won't break while simply handling the helicopter!

E-Flite BEC Mounting Platform

The Blade 550X and 600X don't have a good way to mount the BEC to the frames. Don't use Velcroâ„¢ or double-sided tape! Lightweight and strong, this mounting platform is designed specifically for the E-Flite BEC that's included with the Blade 550X and 600X kit. The BEC is solidly mounted to the left or right side of the frames using the existing ESC mounting platform screws.

Cooling is improved by the addition of extra space beneath the BEC and the mount works with the stock ESC platform or our upgraded version.

Castle Creations Pro BEC Mounting Platform

The Blade 550X and 600X don't have a good way to mount the BEC to the frames. Don't use Velcroâ„¢ or double-sided tape! Lightweight and strong, this mounting platform is designed specifically for the Castle Creations Pro BEC. The BEC is solidly mounted to the left or right side of the frames using the existing ESC mounting platform screws.

Cooling is improved by the addition of extra space beneath the BEC and the mount works with the stock ESC platform or our upgraded version.

We also offer custom development for just about part you may need. If we don't have what you need, just ask. We'll make it for you!
