Acrobatic
How is the long boom acrobatic at doing simple stunts, like loops and rolls.
I know alot of guys use it for AP, but do any of you just use it for sport acrobatics.

It is excellent at the general aerobatics . I do some back flips and such but they are very laid back and "ole folks style"maneuvers. It is an excellent ship ! If you like to shoot autos you will love this bird, its fantastic.Sometimes I'll just shoot an auto, over and over and over ! I simply love doing straight autos and 180 degree autos . Build you one, you'll love it. WP

How are you setting up your pitch curve for the aerobatics it will do and how do you have your pitch set up for the autos.

It has been so long since I set mine up that I am sure some of the "current" people can help more.

Wayne do you remember if you set it up like a scale ship or like an acrobatic ship with hovering at 3/4 stick and a V curve when you switch flight modes.

Its according to what head, blades, and the servo arrangement..
I use the 4 point ccpm ... Using a flybar head, you have to put a little offset in the pitch at 90 degs on the servo arm, about 2 degs positive because the stock Vario fiberglass blades had to much twist, if you fly more aggressive, not to mention mechanically, you could not get enough throw, and total pitch with the 4 point setup..
In order to get the best performance, I put a flybarless head, with carbon blades..This setup also allowed the 4 point CCpm to work much better, because you don't need all the throw you can get like on the flybar head...In fact, they are made for each other
With 800 Rotortechs, I run normal at -6 4.5 +10, and idle up at -10 +0 +10..
Of course running the 3 point CCPM you don't have the problems as much with with flybar setup, but this heli is not cheap, so I run 4 point, which has saved me once, because I don't run top of the line servos..
It is a very fun heli like Wayne said..I call it a big old cub, and we all know a cub fly's great..
