Strange new Vbar issue after using it for years
So i have been using 5.3 on my mac since it came out.

All of a sudden today i went to use it and my mac gave me this error

VStabi 5.3.4” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image.

So i though that was odd and deleted the program, went on mikado and downloaded a new one. Expectng now issues. ITs been fine for years why would there all of a sudden be a problem

Well yea, now all i get is that message
Even on a fresh download thats all i get.

I tried resetting permissions, Manuall unistalled the driver and reinstalled etc
All i get is

VStabi 5.3.4” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image.

Im at my wits end. I just don't get it. Years of use with no issue now all of a sudden for no reason this is what i get.
Has anyone run across this?

sounds like you recently upgraded to OSX 10.8 or 10.9. This message is a security measure that prevents you from installing any applications that are not digitally signed by apple.

open your general preferences, click on 'security and privacy', and in the 'general' tab at the bottom you'll see 3 choices for where your computer can run applications from.

if the options are greyed out/you can't click on them: click on the gold lock in the lower left hand corner of the window and provide your admin credentials.

I'm not sure if mikado is an 'identified developer' or not. you may have to choose the 'Anywhere' option.
if it ain't broke, break it.

If its a security measure then why does it says its damaged?

Shouldn't it say "you don't have permission" or something of the like
