450L/3gx pirollet drift question
Been out of the hobby for over 10 years... I started in later 80s, ah the days of mechanical gyros (which froze up in flight), Enya engines with supertiger carburetors, and radios with pot adjustments. No such thing as flybarless!

Anyways, I finished a 450L test flew last couple of days and so flybarless systems are new to me.

Programmed the 3gx and ESC as per the manual.

Issue is when I do a pirouette the heli tends to drift off a little backwards, however, it's not bad. If I just hover in one spot its quite stable. Flies around just fine. A friend who has 450L but with a Vbar, flew mine and did some 3d with it, he says it flies almost like his with the vbar and he did like the feel of my setup, but he also note the minor drift while pirouetting.

So being new to this, what can be adjusted to better stabilize while pirouetting? Balance, trim and subtrim is neutral. 3gx is square with frames and mounting plate.

Thanks, Tim

In my experience, the drift is usually caused by a unlevel swash or cg.

swash is level

cg appears to be correct nose does not drop (checked both sides since the one way bearing prevents motion). I'll check this again.

Hover as well as fast forward flight is great. Virtually no drift when you let go of the sticks.

right now the Elev/Ail Gain is at 50%...was thinking to increase this by 5-10%.

FWIW when i flew a friends vbar 450L it also drifted off, but would say it was half the amount.
