Maybe I am missing something. Fusuno has nice canopies for sale at a reasonable price, however, they charge $70.00 to ship it. The canopy costs $79.00. Is this a total rip off or am I missing something.

Nope, you're not missing anything. It's best to order multiples from them at the same time because the shipping cost is the same.

Shipping 3 day UPS air for my custom E550 canopy was going to be $35, so I went in with a few friends to build a $150 order. Shipping was free.
Air shipping costs a fortune. They can't just eat it. They do extremely good work for way less than you could remotely do it yourself.

Well $79.00 for their canopy is acceptable to me. $70.00 to ship a 10 ounce product ups to me is a scam.

When I looked a 700 size custom canopy was $35 shipping UPS and via DHL $44.

So I wonder where the $70 shipping charge came from, was that overnight shipping or something?

What tomtek said.... I don't care what their work looks like . How can they justify charging an outrages amount for something that small and light?

They may be light but they do ship in large boxes and they are coming from Viet Nam. That's part of it, anyway.

There are some dealers in the states that do carry some Fusuno canopies. You're limited to what they stock but the shipping is way less expensive.

Shipping via air is often based on dimensions, not weight. Get a price to ship a canopy sized box to the other side of the world via UPS air, and I promise you'll see it's no scam.

I agree the shipping is CRAZY!! Same thing with Canomod. BUT, if you spend $150.00 at Fusuno, shipping is free. I ordered two bad a$$ 700 size canopies for less than I could get two stock canopies for! Plus they put your name, or whatever you want on the canopy....very cool!
And if any one has ever held and examined a Fusuno canopy, then you know the quality is outstanding, not to mention the packing for shipping. I've never seen a better packing job, they go above and beyond!
I am very happy with my purchase!

Remember to keep everything balanced!

Custom painted canopies made in the US are usually over $150 from what I've seen.

OK, I stand corrected. I can agree if this is coming from another country the expensive shipping amount. Although in their ad I do not see anywhere that they indicate it is coming from a foreign country.
