Hi Guys , i am planning on getting a XLV Heavy duty clutch , for a benzin trainer that will shorty have a big 4 blade head with M-Blades , 800 mm or bigger ,,, On the clutch lining that does not come installed by Vario ,,, Joe Howard recommended JR weld for the adhesive for gluing the the lining to the inside of the clutch bell ,,,, In he old days we use to put masking tape over the bearings inside and out , and take 220 grit or rough grit sandpaper to give the inside of the clutch bell a good surface for the adhesive to bite into and hold , anyone out the that put this XLV clutch together , any advise is appreciated , thanks , Gary Saia

Gary, Its not JR Weld ,its JB Weld . As far as the inside of the bell just use some light grit if you want to to make sure its smooth and then clean it really good with lacquer thinner or mek type cleaner. Don't use anything of course thats oil based like kerosene ,mineral spirits, unless of course you want to do it again.Have fun
