My 6th PRS guitar was delivered today, a S2 Starla in seafoam green. This is my second Starla, with the first being a PRS custom shop item, in dark cherry.

Even though the S2 Starla is a fraction of the cost of the custom shop Starla, I do believe it will be my favorite. The finish is faultless, the setup was perfect right out of the box, and it sounds and plays fantastic.

My PRS fleet now consists of:

1. S2 Starla in seafoam green
2. Starla custom shop in dark cherry
3. Hollowbody II in natural finish
4. Santana signature, first edition, metallic green
5. Santana signature, 25th anniversary edition, orange
6. Single Cut, tobacco sunburst.

Interesting, as the list is in my order of preference

Pictures of the guitars for sure. No audio of video of me, otherwise some one might figure out who I really was. I like my time out of the spotlight.

Bird inlays for sure! Played it during todays rehersal. My bandmates quite liked it. Everyone took a turn playing it, even the drummer. It's "only" a S2, but we all like it better than my custom shop Starla.

Even with significant use of the Bigsby, it stayed in tune. The PRS locking tuners certainly do their job well.

Is there any way that I can attach audio files rather than photos? I have my own studio, so I have plenty of audio files to attach.

Congrats to you GC, its always exciting bringing home a new axe to the fleet ..

PRS is one of the few companies that has production quality out of the factory.

I know the feeling, PRS has been my all time favorite. I mainly use the PRS Santana models I, II and III's. I only have one custom Private Stock and one custom 24 tobacco burst out of the fleet.

You will have many years of enjoyment, and they will be timeless.

Enjoy,

ShankBones

I'll share a few older pics of my fleet that I have from my Clipboard:

Finally, some photos.

The seafoam green S2 Starla is exactly as delivered. This is a fantastic playing and sounding guitar.

The dark cherry custom shop Starla is real old school with a tulip headstock, tulip ivory colored tuning keys, dot neck inlays, and a stop tailpiece and a PRS Tune-o-matic style bridge.

The seafoam green Teli style guitar is my most recent build. Fender licensed ash body by Mighty Mite, Fender licensed maple neck, 22 medium jumbo frets, 12" radius rosewood fingerboard, Grover mini tuners, Graphtec nut and string tree, truss rod adjustment at the headstock, and a walnut skunk stripe. Wilkinson pickups, three way selector switch with traditional wiring to a master volume and tone control. The bridge pickup mounts to a NOS Bigby mounting plate and features a post mounted roller bridge. And of course it has the Bigsby tailpiece.

The guitars in the rear rack are my other PRS guitars.

The photos are out of order.

The Teli on the wall is a Fender Custom Shop item, real old school in desert sand and with the bridge cover. The neck pickup is a twisted teli and the bridge pickup is a nocaster. The 4 way selector switch in conjuction with the button in the middle of the volume pot provides bridge, bridge/neck in parallel both in and out of phase, bridge/neck in series, both in and out of phase, and neck pickup.

The next two guitars are the first two that I built. Both are set neck with mahogany bodies and necks, maple caps, and rosewood fingerboards. Both feature grover tuners and medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius. The one on the left features Wilkinson pickups and a Schoeder bridge. The one on the right has Seymor Duncan pickups and a Scheader bridge.

The next two are SG styled guitars. I forget the model of the Vox, but it is fairly recent vintage. I think I've only had that one two or three years. The other is a 120th anniversary Gibson SG. Jr, cherry stain over mahogany. US made and at a great price, it sounds and plays fantastic.

The next two are my Line 6 Variaxe, completely stock, and my Epiphone Wildcat. I swore I'd never own an Epi, but there is no Gibson equivalent to this guitar. Larger than a Les Paul and smaller than an ES335, it has been modified with a bone nut and a roller bridge. I'll upload photos of the Starlas shortly.

One of my bandmates got a Taylor about a year ago. I don't know what model, but he loves it and it plays and sounds great. The other guitarist is a Martin man through and through. As for me, my two acoustics are Ovation. a Celebrity Deluxe 6 string and a Ballardier 12 string.

That's a sweet guitar, helicopter. For a relatively new company as compared with some of the long established ones, Taylor makes some very innovative guitars.
