I'm glade you got it together, but you should really get some one to help you get it in the air, Gassers are a monster of another kind

just wondering what carb did you order ??

Really find someone in your area to help you with the issues. How close are to Raja. He is the gasser guru & probably could get it fixed for you...

Surry NH is having a funfly on July 19th and Raja is supposed to be there. Its not far at all from Shrewsbury, maybe you could come with your heli! Check out the event section for more details. It would be a great opportunity to meet some knowledgeable gasser guys and get it running right

No choke - good - just put you thumb over the carb opening and with xmtr at high throttle pull the engine through until your thumb is wet. Go to low throttle on xmtr and it will start every time. You should seldom have to choke after the first run of the day.

Spark Plug gap: .025 - if you run it at high rpm, knock it down to .023

Needles - Start with both at 1-1/4 out. That will be rich. Tweak high high end then go to the low end. When you change the low end, it will effect the high end . Keep jumping back and forth between the two until you are happy. Generaly, you should end up with the low needle at about 7/8 to 1 out and the high end at about 1-1/8 out.

The older I get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

I'd be worried about ever pulling the engine through with the throttle on high unless you mean high trim.

I have no choke on either my Predator or my Spectra. I go fully closed on stick and throttle trim until I hear it fire then open up the trim to idle and it starts next pull.

Good luck with your newly rebuilt Preddy!! PM if you have any questions. I was just flying mine this past weekend and it still flies great after about five years.
