Is Hobby Hut out of business ? Hobby Hut in Noristown PA is the only heli hobby shop that I have ever been to in the area that was actually well stocked and priced with RC helis. I have often ordered from their web site, and whenever passing down the PA turnpike ( I live in NJ ) I would try and stop by when possible ..I dropped by yesterday to find the door closed, and a sign saying they would not be open and only to call the # listed to get back any helis left for consignment. The web site is down, and no message or answer on the phone.Through the window the store looks well stocked as if business as usual ..anyone know what happened ? I hope they will reopen, as this would be a great loss the hobby in the area also, does anyone know if the car track/raceway is affected as well by this ?Voy |

HH was sold about 2 years ago. "Al" as far as I know has not been involved in the store since then. It it really sad what has happened to the shop. I saw the shop slowly declining after the sale and over the last year it really went down hill. Tough business to be in. After HH pulled their Ad off of RR I knew it wouldn't be long before they closed, it was only 6 month. I'm hoping somebody picks the business up.Damn that ground is hard! When's the right time to get out of this money sucking hobby? |

A couple weeks ago I was looking at the site online to buy somethings. Now I just looked after reading this and it says down for maintenance. Does it really mean more like "GONE" politely? |

I ordered a few trex 600 parts that the website said were in stock.
turns out they had to order them from someone else and waited till they showed up and then ship them to me.
2 weeks to get parts from a store that is 4 hours away and I could have bought the parts in California and had them in 3 days. rich |

A great hobby shop gone. I'm going to miss it, it's only about 3 1/2 miles from my place. Bought a lot of fuel and parts and parts and more parts there. Guess now it's back to ordering parts online again. Damn that ground is hard! When's the right time to get out of this money sucking hobby? |

They had a 1 day liquidation sale the day of closing that was it there has been no new information as to what's going to happen next. I fly at the field next to where hobby hut was/is and us guys have heard nothing. So as far as we know the bank is in control at this point. Hobby Hut was a great hobby store but poor management after the sale of the store did them in.Team Synergy Field Rep Team Xpert Servos |

I'm hoping that an investor picks it up but I'm worried that to start fresh with the HH name it's going to take a boat load of money just to get going again. Not to mention getting the customer base back.Damn that ground is hard! When's the right time to get out of this money sucking hobby? |

The hobby heli market is continuing to make a correction. There are too many manufacturers and vendors chasing the same dollar. There will be more stories like this to come... |

It seems to always happen to a business. They get bought out and then go out of business afterwards. I am sorry to hear that they didn't make it. I think one big risk is having to stock lots of parts. All of those parts add up to a considerable amount of money being tied up too. |
