Have a 700 v3 dfc that I fly and checked my castle flight log and my flying style only drew 50 amps once for a millisecond and averaged at 17 amps, so was thinking I'd be more then fine with helijive 80 cause I do nothing that should be drawing more then 80 amps.havent flown goblin yet so don't know if its a more amp drawing setup by design or anything so figured I'd ask on here.I know most people just say get a 120 and forget about it,but if I can save a few hundred right now from something I can safely get away with I will.thanks for any help.

One of my flying buddy's using a kontronic 80hv esc (and it's internal bec) on his G700 (w/AR7200 fbl unit). At 1850-1950 headspeed and light 3d it works fine. He has a heatsink mounted on it btw.

Cheers,

You can get away with a lot safely with mild flying and knowing that a Jive will easily handle spikes over rating with the heat sink in place. Just be careful not to let a more aggressive pilot fly your model and beat on it hard. Then you will absolutely need the 120.
