With the shut down of Miniature Aircraft I expected to see more gassers for sale in the forums but have not. Are people holding on to these things? Or am I looking in the wrong place???

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

I have a Whip airframe I will be putting up for sale as soon as Goblin II is completed, no way bearing mod, custom pinon block, etc.

I recently bought a used 1005 that frankly I could build into another flying heli very easily . It is in very good condition overall. I would hate to use it as a parts heli.

I have my Whiplash air frame posted. It is probably back a ways now but it is still available. Details in the classified section.

The most common Min Air gassers for sale it seems is the Whiplash. I guess it is because it was not in production long and didnt have time to gradually flood the market with spare parts. Too bad as I really wanted to have all three different Min Air gasser models in my fleet.

I have all 4 Whiplash models.

2 gassers
1 team nitro
1 team EX electric still in the box
1 original electric

I am looking to sell both electrics and one of my gassers.

Well except for Luis104 all posts are Whiplash heli's of one sort or another.
I am bummed by that because I would love to own a Whip Gasser but unless there are parts made again it is a dead end.

you may be better off having never bought one. The Whip G had several design flaws in the clutch bell/OWB assembly. The OWB was not rated for the service RPM. Also lubrication from the OWB tended to migrate down into the bell and contaminate the clutch.

The part that bothers me the most is that this was known by some while others(like me) were buying them under the assumption it was a solid design.

Google "Whiplash gasser chirping" and you will probably find a detailed discussion about this.
