Well guys..All I can say... is I'm gonna miss you...But, maybe get to meet a few others..
It has been a life long ambition of my wife to live in Arizona, and quite frankly after this last winter in Northern IL. it didn't take a lot to convince me to move. I just hadn't figured it would happen this quickly....
So, here's the condensed version..;(Pull up a chair and be entertained?)
After the -20 readings and snow every other day, My wife convinced me that we should take a trip out to Arizona.. So in Feb. we flew out there after looking at some homes on Zillo, etc. .. We found a house and put a bid on it.. The deal fell through, and in the mean time my wife had her second Back Fusion operation.
Unable to travel, she shipped me out with a mandate "Not to return" until I had found a house and closed the deal....
So, I did that. I figured I would come home, tidy up affairs, put the house here on the market, and be ready to move out there in Sept/Oct... So much for plans!!!
My wingman Jay (Cabojay) and I prepared to head out to Mesa with my trailer loaded to the roof with tools and gear to do fix-up and do paint stuff. But,prior to us leaving town, my wife had decided she really didn't need her little Honda work car anymore. So she thought that I should put it on "Craiglist" to try and sell it. She also made an appointment with a listing agent to get an Idea how much our current house would sell for and set a listing date. We agreed to a price and also decided to place it on the market on the 15th of June (After I returned from AZ>
Well, Jay and I left IL. on Tuesday night May,27... The following day (Wed), when I checked in with my wife she informed me.. 1)she had sold the car (Had the cash in hand), and when the listing agent came through the house to take pictures, she brought along a woman who was looking for a house...you guesses it.. 2) sold the house!!! it never made it on the market!!!
The Kicker is.. the buyer Must be in the house no later that July 21st so as I write this I am packing the "Man Cave" and all my heli stuff..
My flying days are completely suspended for the next few months and any thoughts of IRCHA, Darrells, etc.. are gone....
Unless I can talk some Arizona guys into a long road trip, I'm guessing my IRCHA days are over...(And "My Fav.." Darrel's)
But... the west coast stuff is now in reach so I guess it isn't all doom and gloom..? Gonna miss you guys!!!!!
And you Arizona guys... Get in Touch!!! I'll be there by July 15th

Sorry to hear about the move, you will be missed. You however are not the first to relocate, Stan moved from New York out west Rick W. moved from Cincinnati to the far north in MI. Glad to hear everything has gone so well with the house and car. You can still come to Darrells plus this moves you closer to Stan and Paul. Good luck, travel safe and stay in touch. Regards, Gayl

Your next journey will have you moving to sunny California. If the San Franisco Bay Area was not as expensive I would say look into the Bay Area. Best weather you can find is in the Bay Area. I know some folks will say Southern California has better weather, but they also have heavy smog. A few more months and you can be attending Helicopter Scale Masters!!! After that you will say why didn't I move earlier.
