OK- I just opened it and checked the card. It was heavily glued and I couldn't budge it . It was tight. I tried to make it tighter but it wouldn't move. Put the cover back on and went outside again. I didn't get any white flashed the first time I cycled, but the second and third time I cycled I got the white flashes again??

Sounds like a good Idea. I did not know that you could cycle ace one without GPS Compass. In theory, if I don't get "white flashes" it is probably the GPS Compass. That is the only component I have't changed yet. I have tried another MC & IMU, but haven't tried compass. I have been thinking it has been the compass for a long time now. I'll give it a try in a couple of hours. Thanks!

1. Re-Routed all wires
2. GPS & IMU wires Right side of Heli
3. All Other wires-Left Side of Heli
4. Cycled Ace One-Searched for GPS satellites-Red Flashes
5. Soon after Red Flashes stopped a series of White Flashes
6. White Flashes soon stopped.
7. Shut everything down-Started again-Same
8. Started motor-Gas Engine
9. White flashes during spool up
10. White Flashes stop
11. Lift Off in manual mode
12. Switched to GPS
13. Locked and did not move for entire flight
14. Switched back to manual mode- Some White Flashes
15. Landed
16. 2 More Flight-Exactly the same as First Flight.
17. This is the first time I actually locked onto GPS 3 x's in a Row?
18. Chris- Haven't heard from you in a while-Any thoughts??
19. Anybody else have any opinions????
20-Alo forgot to mention-I installed a 1/2 inch piece of Foam under IMU

You already answered your question....you disconnected the wiring and reconnect. Maybe one of your EXT cabling has a weak connect point or not making clean contact. You need to find that wiring that is weak, otherwise be prepared to pay $ for a rebuild!

One suggestion, check your bearing for any screeching or gritty feelings.

I remembered once my friend pointed out on the connector. I learned my lesson watching him crash his helicopter. I felt bad for a long time, there was nothing I could do.

Yes it is very important that you are getting proper connectivity.no carbon build up..no cold solder joints..proper sized wire aswell...after a while connectors will build carbon and arc spots..bad to loose thousand of dollars over a 3 dollar connector..

I still get all my white flashes. I do think I locked in gps 3 x's in a row for the first time, but white flashes are still the norm. I think Robert from UAV products had the best idea so far. He is having DJI send me new GPS Compass. I think while I am waiting for that I will mount everthing on aboard and use all new cables. It will answer a lot of issue questions.

I will also open up maim controller and check out that card. I did play with it a little, maybe carbon was an issue.

Just wanted to give you an update. Flew heli today. Still getting white flashes before and after starting motor. Heli is actually locking GPS better then before but still on occasion falls out of GPS and does some weird things. Controls are very sluggish and very hard to control heli. It is definitely not in attitude mode when this happens, although most of the time it will go to attitude mode. Did anyone every experience this and happen to change their GPS Compass and did it help?

Hi Aerial,
I wish I new the answer to your problem but I don't. Some more questions if you don't mind answering:

1)Is this a brand new AceOne you are dealing with and has it mis-behaved from day 1?

2)If it is an old unit (did it work ok for a while) when did it started this flaw?

3)How good does your AP-heli fly(hover hands off) in manual mode?

I would do a working bench test on a board in an open area.

Good luck and keep us updated.
Ahmet

My original Ace One Unit from Day One had Problems with White Flashes and becoming uncontrollable at times.
This is what I have done so far:
1. Sent Original back to China
2. UAV Products sent me a used MC
3. Tried that- same Problem
4. UAV sent me a new IMU
5. Tried that- same problem
6. UAV sent me a used GPS Compass
7. It was in terrible shape, wire was cut, I could get it to stop flashing red lights after calibration.

Basically-The only component I haven't changed is the GPS Compass which UAV Products is supposed to send me a new unit within a week.

My Heli fly's great hands off.

Yes I agree- Bench test it is the answer and tying new GPS Compass.
Just haven't found the time to Bench test.
Hopefully over 4th of July weekend.
Any thoughts?

Hi Aerial,
thanks for your reply.
This must have been one of those faulty sets you have had purchased. Shame
Cause I think it is a very nice heli flight support system where an AP operator can rely on time after time. I have had mine since it 1st came out on the market and it has not disappointed me (not totally).
DJI support is not as good as can be expected. There is Terry Wan terry.wan@dji-innovations.com you might want to try. They usually reply within a week. I would ask (and must insist) for a replacement. Tell them this issue has been at the forums searching for help, you are very upset and etc...

Well, you asked for thoughts didn't you?
Good luck,
Ahmet

Hi Ahmet,
I just wanted to let you know that DJI Sent me a new unit. After I emailed Tery Wan, I called Robert Redmond and he said they were sending me a new unit. I think Robert also had a lot to do with it. I just wanted to let you know and thank you for the tip.
